WILL YOU JOIN OUR PRAYER TEAM?
September 15th, 2024
Hey friends!
We are thrilled to fill you all in on a fun project we are stepping into right in our front yard! About 10 years ago the Lord gave us a beautiful vision of a huge community space complete with a coffee & boardgame shop, lots of classrooms for food/creative art classes, as well as gathering spaces in the back for Bible studies, worship gatherings and prayer weekends. It was a place people could find loving community, understand their true identity, and grow in their relationship with Christ and others. It was an incredible glimpse into the Kingdom of God where people of all ages and backgrounds could walk in, have a seat at the table and be seen, known and loved.
About two years ago, the Lord spoke to us again, saying very specifically, "You can build it in your front yard." It felt electric and exciting but also quite overwhelming. As we have prayed, planned and said yes to many small steps of faith over the past few years, the Lord has brought us an incredible community of people who believe with us that it's time to build. The need for strong, loving community around us is so great. So, back in July, we took a huge leap of faith and paid for the permits to build, what we now are calling "Greenhouse Commons". We know will be an incredible space that will be a blessing to the schools, neighbors, and followers of Christ all around us!
Here's where we need you. We need prayer warriors. Lots of prayer warriors!
We are going to publish a monthly newsletter with updates, God-stories, testimonies and prayer needs each and every month. It would mean so much to know we have a greater community of Jesus-followers and friends who are praying for us, standing with us, celebrating with us, and who also want partner with us to see healing, renewal and joy break out all over this city.

This month, we humbly ask you to join us in praying for the following:
1. Guidance – that every decision made throughout the project aligns with God's will and wisdom.
2. Provision – for the resources, funding, and hands needed to bring this vision to life.
3. Unity – that the churches and communities around us will come together and co-labor in love and support as we work toward stepping into the needs of the schools.
4. Protection – over everyone involved, from the planning stages to the construction process. We are stepping into a lot of dark places and know the enemy will not be happy about it. Please cover our family, our property and our community in prayer.
5. Impact – that this building will be a place where lives are changed, relationships are formed, and the community is blessed.
Upcoming activities we would love specific intercession for:
1. We have invited teachers and families from the five public schools around us, as well as several pastors, over to our home for dinner, fellowship & prayer on Saturday night, September 21st. We will be hosting this dinner/prayer night once a month throughout the school year. Please pray the Lord brings together a beautiful community of people who want to stand together to pray and love on these schools and that His Spirit would pour out and encourage and comfort those teaching in the schools who feel heavy and discouraged. Also, if you know any teachers or friends at Hiteon, Greenway, Raleigh Hills, Conestoga or Southridge, please share my information with them.
2. We have been hosting a community worship night at our home every Monday evening at 7pm - please pray God would continue to pour His spirit out and heal, restore, inspire and free His children to run the race of faith without hindrance and with power and joy and great love!
3. We host a First Friday Potluck every month for our entire neighborhood. It has been a joy to see the relationships that have formed and how desperately our neighbors want community. Please pray our light and love would shine brightly and we would have more and more opportunities to share Jesus with them.
We are deeply grateful for your prayers and encouragement. Together, with faith, we believe that this space will serve as a beacon of hope and transformation for many. Thank you for standing with us!
In faith and gratitude,
Ben & Jessica Harris
