FSD Film Festival
- Do you have a student who loves making movies? Whether they’re into acting, animation, storytelling, or editing, FSD Film Fest is the perfect opportunity for them to shine! Students are invited to create and submit their own short film (between 1–3 minutes) in one of the following six categories:
- Drama (includes action, adventure, or fantasy)
- Comedy
- How-To (a tutorial or step-by-step guide)
- Stop Motion & Animation
- Documentary
- Foreign Film (in a language other than English—subtitles or script in English is required)
- All films are due by Friday, April 25th at 11:59 PM.
- A panel of judges will review all submissions, and the top 18 films will be selected to be screened and honored at the official Film Fest event—a special night where students’ hard work and creativity will be celebrated on the big screen!
- This is a fun and meaningful opportunity for students to explore their passions in storytelling, tech, and visual arts. Whether it’s their first film or they’ve been making movies for years, we encourage all interested students to participate!
- For all the details and to submit a film, please visit: bit.ly/fsdfilmfestival. We can’t wait to see the incredible creativity our students bring to the screen!

Updating Emergency Contacts
Sunset Lane Families: it is important that we have up-to-date emergency contact information for all of our students. We kindly ask that you check with our school office to ensure your emergency contact information is current. Keeping your contact details updated helps us reach you quickly in case of an emergency. It also lets us know who we are authorized to safely release your child to should an emergency prevent you from picking them up. Please contact our school office to share any updates to your child’s emergency contact info at (714)447-7750. Thank you very much for your time and partnership.
Full Day Preschool
Do you have a preschool-age student and need a full-day option? Fullerton School District’s Tuition-Based Sunset Lane Full-Day Preschool Program has openings for enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year. See this flyer from our Preschool Office.
School Safety Reminders
Here are some friendly reminders:
- Always use crosswalks to cross the street and/or the staff parking lot. Even if accompanied by an adult, please do not cross the staff parking lot anywhere other than the crosswalks.
- Please do not walk in the middle of the staff parking lot. Use the crosswalks and sidewalk to leave campus. Since no one should be parking in the parking spots, there is no reason for you to be walking in the parking lot.
- Do not enter the staff parking lot unless you have a handicap placard or are an after school program that is picking up multiple students. Only park in the marked handicap spots or the parking lot loading zone if this applies to you. Even if you are dropping off your child/children for a before school activity, you should not be entering the staff parking lot.
- Remain in your vehicle at all times if you are in the loading zone and pull up as space becomes available. If you need to exit your vehicle, you must park across the street to do so.
- At the TK/K side gate, please drop your child/children off and promptly leave the area. This is a very small pick-up and drop-off location and we cannot have parents crowding around and blocking access to the gate and/or the sidewalk, making it unsafe for others to pass by.
- The side gate by room 208 and 210 is for bus loading and unloading only. No students should be entering or exiting campus from this location unless they are in Ms. Jahn's or Ms. Boyle's classroom.
Internet Safety
Be sure to visit FSD's Internet Safety website to learn about all of the ways you can protect your child/children and keep them safe while using technology.
