KHS Update
06/06/2025

Principal's Message
It has been an incredible honor to have the opportunity to work with the class of 2025. They are a truly amazing group of young adults whom I am confident will have a profound impact on the world.
They've practiced well and should be ready to participate in the ceremonies and then move forward in their lives, be it into the workforce, the military, or on to further studies.
Class night tonight at 6pm in the gym and then the 2025 Commencement Exercises will take place at noon on Sunday, June 8th.
Both events will be live streamed at https://meet.google.com/ncs-yzpp-cuc or https://bit.ly/KHSGrad2025
You can also access a Spanish interpreted version of the Commencement Ceremonies on Sunday at this link: https://stream.lexikeet.com/mrsu21
Also, check out the College decisions for the class of 2025 here!
Finally, I want to clarify our schedule for the rest of the year for 9-11th graders:
Classes continue through Wednesday, June 11th which will be our final White Day of the year. Final Exams take place on Thursday the 12th through Tuesday the 17th, with the morning of Wednesday the 18th being where any make-up exams will happen.
Peace,
Scott Tombleson (He/Him/His - What is this?)

Meal Account Refunds
If your senior has a positive balance on their Linq meal account, please let the Nutrition Department know if you'd like to do one of the following:
- For a refund, reach out to Katie Turner (kturner@rsu21.net) to confirm your mailing address for your refund check. Include the name of the student whose account is to be refunded.
- Transfer the money to a sibling's account. This can be done from your Linq account, but the Nutrition Department is happy to help if needed.
- Donate the balance to the Child Nutrition Program
If we do not hear from you by July1, we will assume you'd like to donate your balance to the nutrition department.

FREE CNA Training Program and more!
York County Extended Learning Opportunities in coordination with Noble High School is happy to announce they have created a FREE CNA training program at Pinnacle Health in North Berwick. They have a summer session which run M-F 12-4, and also two sessions during the school year at the same time. To participate, students must be 16+ and agree to work at Pinnacle for a period of time upon completion of the program, no fee involved. Interested students should connect with Liam Danaher at Noble High for more info (207) 698-1320.
In addition, if students would like to obtain industry-specific training, check out the Maine Public University System's offerings. They have a number of inexpensive programs that can be both interesting and great resume builders.
Attention JUNIORS (SAT info)
If you'd like to retake the SAT, here's how you sign up. There are two test dates in the summer and several in the fall.
Something to keep in mind, if you are applying Early Action (EA) or Early Decision (Types of Admissions), you'll want to take the SAT well before your first application deadline with enough time to receive your scores (typically 4-6 weeks).
Please reach out to your School Counselor if you have any questions,

KHS Appreciation Committee Update
There’s a saying: many helping hands make light work, and that’s certainly been true with our initiatives! Whether we needed cookies, raffle items, or donations, every time we reached out to the community, support came pouring in.
The best way I can describe being part of this group is glimmer. Our acts of appreciation give me that spark -- I feel connected to an amazing group of parents and educators, and proud to be making a difference. Yes, it’s a little extra responsibility, but it lifts me up. We’d love to have more people experience that with us.
Looking ahead, we’ll be following a similar calendar of events next year. We’d love for more people to get involved! We meet the first Thursday of each month at 8:30am at the high school, and we also host several evening meetings at The Elective throughout the year. We’re hoping to find someone interested in helping as treasurer, and we will be meeting a couple of times this summer so please send me your email if you would like to get involved.
A Note About the Directory:
All of our initiatives this year went really well… except the Directory. We simply didn’t have enough participation to make printing worthwhile. If you submitted payment and would like a refund or have questions, please reach out directly — I’m happy to help. Sorry, and thank you for understanding!
One Last Request for This Year:
We’d like to provide snacks for students during finals. We’ll set up a table in the front lobby so they can grab what they need. If you’d like to help, please see the attached sign-up. Simply drop off your donation with the front office or meet one of us there at 7am to setup a table of snacks on the 12th, 13th, 16th and 17th of June.
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4FA9A9292-57206370-snacks
And finally — we’ll be reaching out again in mid-August for help providing donuts and coffee for our teachers. Until then, thank you again for being such a supportive community!
Best,
Jill A
