Good evening, Einstein Community,
As we wrap up Quarter 1, we are excited to welcome Quarter 2 of the school year. Quarter 2 officially starts on Wednesday, November 6.
Please mark your calendars for our guardian-teacher conferences on November 25. You can find all the details on how to sign up for in-person meetings with your child's teachers in the Newsletter. Remember, you can always arrange meetings with teachers throughout the year with prior notice.
I hope our students are enjoying their long weekend and taking this opportunity to recharge for the new quarter ahead.

Congrats to our Cross Country Team! (NEW)
Congratulations to Coach Da Silva and the Cross-Country teams on their performances at the Regional Championships. Girls placed 2nd and Boys placed 1st. Congratulations to Griffin Lupes who is the individual regional champion.
Cross Country continues their season on November 9th at Hereford HS at 10 am.

Bolt Leadership Academy (NEW)
Want to learn how to be a leader in your community? Building Our Leaders of Tomorrow (BOLT) is a new MCPS program for 9th and 10th-grade students who are developing, rising leaders looking to strengthen their leadership capacity. Students will learn about advocacy, how they display leadership, and effective team management skills. They will then identify a topic of interest and do a Passion Project to benefit the MCPS community!

MoreWithUs Scholarship (NEW)
For the ninth year we are pleased to offer MoreWithUs Spring 2025 Scholarship.
All students are eligible to apply. They can submit a short essay or a short video about a work/volunteer experience. Each award is $500. The application deadline is December 15, 2024.

The ACES Program (NEW)
Are you in 10th grade and plan to go to college after high school? Join the ACES program today and work with an ACES Coordinator in 11thand 12th grade to receive personal assistance with college applications, financial aid forms, access to leadership development programs, and career-readiness training! The 2024/2025 PTA Reflections Art Program is Underway (REPEAT)
Each year, students are invited to create and submit original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. These works of art may be submitted for state and national level awards and recognition opportunities. Intro video for more information on the program: https://youtu.be/8FlgjlxKQms
Students create original art in any category based on this year’s theme: Accepting Imperfection. Download an entry form and link to the guidelines from the AEHS Reflections webpage. For more information and inspiration, visit the National Reflections website, where you can view the virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships.
The submission deadline is Monday, December 9th. All entries should be submitted virtually. If you have any questions, contact Kristin Kenausis at kskenausis@gmail.com.
PTSA Fundraiser (REPEAT)

They will be held November 25th in person at Einstein. Sign-up is now live in your ParentVue portal. Log-in and choose the Conference History tab to reserve your timeslot.

SSL News and Opportunities (UPDATED)
Urban Farm Volunteer Event Set for Nov. 9 at Loiederman MS
Middle and high school students are invited to participate in a Veterans Day volunteer opportunity from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School, 12701 Goodhill Road in Silver Spring. Students will help build garden beds and benches for the first urban farm being built through the REACH Hub and learn from professionals in the field. SSL hours and lunch will be provided.
