All About the A/B schedule (6th Grade Only)

Many of you had questions about the A/B Schedule at Open House. This will determine when a 6th grader has music class or physical education. Here are a few tips and tricks.

1) Here is the yearly SCHEDULE. It can also be found in the Handbook. It is also posted daily for students on the white board in front of the dean's office as well as announced in the morning news.

2) For the first week of school, here is the schedule:

• Tuesday: A-day
• Wednesday: A-day
• Thursday: B-day
• Friday: B-day

2) When students have Phy Ed for the first week, they should report to the North/South Gym (where you picked up your schedules at Open House). Their teachers will explain the regular arrival process at that point as well as explaining any locker room details.

3) There is no need to bring Phy Ed specific clothing on the first day of class.

We’re thrilled to announce Highview Middle School's rendition of “Annie Jr.” will take to the stage in the fall semester! If you have a passion for performing, now’s your chance to shine. Auditions will take place on September 11 and 12. Please plan to attend one of these two days.

Important Dates:

• Auditions: September 11 (Wednesday) or 12 (Thursday) after school
• Parent Info Meeting: Thursday September 12 @ 6:30 in the Library
• Callbacks: Friday September 13 (after school) – Students selected for callbacks will be notified after auditions on Thursday.
• Cast List will be posted on Friday evening
• Show Dates: November 14th and 15th @ 7pm, November 16th @ 1 pm

No prior experience is necessary, and everyone who signs up will be guaranteed a spot in the cast! Registration is hosted through Mounds View Community Education. Registration will open on the first day of school.

Picture Day is on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

All scholars will get their picture taken on that day. A Picture Day flyer will be sent home with your scholars the first week of school. Come ready to smile!

Do you love to dance? Are you excited about performing in front of a crowd? Do you want to show your school spirit? The Mounds View Performance Team (MVPT) Youth Dance Clinic is an exciting opportunity for kids to spend the day with the high school dancers, learn choreographed routines, and perform on the high school stadium field! Participants will be assigned an MVPT Big Sister to guide them throughout the day, and will learn two dances: one with their age group and one with the entire team. To culminate the day, parents and fans are invited to return at 1:00pm

to watch the stadium field performance.
