Friday, March 14 is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in eClass / Google Classroom but do not have virtual time with their teachers.

To ensure that students have a nutritious lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver lunches prepared by the School Nutrition Program staff. Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered lunches are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.

We will have all Lost and Found items displayed during DLD / Book Fair Family Shopping on Friday, March 14 from 11am until 2 pm.

The Gwinnett County Public Schools Office of Dual Language Immersion and World Languages will host two identical virtual meetings (in English, Korean, and Spanish) for parents interested in DLI for their rising kindergarten child(ren) next school year.

We are excited that the GCPS Book Mobile will be visiting Camp Creek Elementary School on March 18 & 19, 2025. Students who board the bus will get to choose a new book for free to keep and take home! The mission of the Book Mobile program is to put books into kids' hands. The two GCPS Book Mobiles visit an average of 140 Gwinnett schools each year and have over 5,000 books on the shelves. The program relies on donations and sponsorships to purchase the new books. Please consider contributing to this literacy initiative by donating here.

Gwinnett’s best young artists will be in the spotlight from February 20 through March 25 during Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) Tapestry event. GCPS’ annual celebration of the arts takes place at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (ISC), located at 437 Old Peachtree Rd., NW, in Suwanee. Visitors to the ISC can roam the student art exhibit, seeing firsthand how the lessons from Gwinnett’s award-winning fine arts teachers come to life through student artwork.

Over three and a half weeks, the ISC’s lobby area will be transformed into an art museum filled with paintings, drawings, three-dimensional art, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, and two-dimensional art— all created by Gwinnett students. The student artwork will rotate by cluster during the exhibit. Tapestry is open to the public during business hours each week during the designated weekend hours.

Building hours are:

• Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Saturday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Sunday, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The exhibit dates are March 18 – March 25: Participating schools in the Central Gwinnett, Collins Hill, Mountain View, Parkview, Peachtree Ridge, Seckinger, and South Gwinnett clusters along with Gwinnett Online Campus and the School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School will be displayed.

• The art exhibit will take place in the gymnasium and will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
• On March 24, there is also a PTA General Meeting at 6:15 pm, followed by a Camp Creek ES Chorus Performance (6:30-7:15 pm).

School Council Elections will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025.

• As required by the CCES Local School Council bylaws, voting will take place by secret ballot.
• Only Camp Creek Elementary School parents are permitted to vote.
• Electronic ballots will be made available via ParentSquare on April 18, 2025.
• We have TWO council positions to fill for the 2025-2026 school year, as Emily Clark and Patricia Heys complete their terms at the end of the current school year.
• If you are interested in having your name on the ballot for School Council, please submit your name and contact information via email to valerie.robinett@gcpsk12.org no later than Friday, March 28, 2025.
• All council members serve a TWO-year term.
• Council members may choose to serve more than one term, with the approval of the council.

The Camp Creek Spring Fling will be held on Friday, April 25th from 6-8 PM.

The Spring Fling will be held on the Camp Creek Es Playground and will feature bounce houses, hair painting, cheek painting, dunk tank, music, refreshments and an amazing Silent Auction for tons of family fun!

• Admission will be $6 per person /$25 family maximum.
• Pre-purchase ONLY on Givebacks beginning 8am March 14 until 2pm on April 25.
• Since this is a rain or shine event, if it is determined that the event will need to be moved inside due to inclement weather, admission will be available until capacity is reached.
• Admission includes entry and unlimited access to bounce houses.
• Additional tickets are available for pre-purchase and will be on sale the day of the event for hair painting, cheek painting, dunk tank, drinks, and candy.
• Admission and tickets are non-refundable and any unused tickets will be considered as a donation to the school.
• Marcos Pizza will be sold for pre-purchase only on Givebacks (by slice or by whole pizza) beginning 8am March 14th. All orders must be placed before 12pm on Tuesday, April 22nd.
• Drinks and candy will be available for purchase the day of the event.
• Pelican Snowballs and King of Pops will also be available for purchase the day of the event.
• Stay close to Weekly Paws for a sneak peak of Silent Auction items as we approach the event.
