OUES Week at a Glance
Final Week of School
It’s been a big week at Old Union!
On Tuesday, we received exciting news that Ms. Strickland was named the iTeach Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas! This prestigious award recognizes a first-year teacher who demonstrates outstanding skill, dedication, and promise in the classroom.
Then on Thursday, during the district’s End-of-Year Awards, Mrs. Elkins was honored as the K–6 District Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. DeLaGarza was named the District Paraprofessional/Instructional Support Staff of the Year—a remarkable achievement for both!
Today the Carroll Education Foundation surprised Ms. Freed and Mrs. DeLaGarza on campus with scholarships to support their continued education.
We are so proud of our Dragons and all they are doing to inspire, lead, and grow. Congratulations to each of these incredible educators!
