We are rolling right into Week 2 of the 2nd Quarter. I hope that everyone is well rested and enjoyed your Fall Break. It’s now time to Fall into Fun!
We appreciate all of the support for our first Dealey Country & Western day!
We enjoyed our practical life lessons of the history of The State Fair of Texas, Big Tex and the Texas Ferris Wheel. In addition to our campus academic achievements, we are continually committed to highlighting the positive SEL activities on our campus.
A special shout out to our Primary Hall on their first field trip of the school year! They went to the Zoo and had a great experience. It was such a joy to see them in pictures visiting one of my favorite animals, the elephants. Way to go Primary students and staff!
This week our students in the 2nd-8th grades will complete their yearly Fall SEL survey.
SEL stands for Social Emotional Learning and the survey measures whether children are prepared with the necessary skills to lead healthy, productive lives.
According to Google, the average person lives about 39,998,160 minutes, which is equivalent to about 79 years. The average person also spends about 26 years of that 79 years sleeping in their life.That’s one-third of our entire lives spent sleeping! This means that every minute of our lives is truly precious. We should incorporate a healthy balance of structured work and fun exciting activities.
Our Dealey dragons are always having a great time here at school. It’s so nice to hear their laughter all over campus. The pumpkin patch is officially open next door. The Hillcrest Homecoming parade is Friday 10/18/24 at 5:15 pm .The PTA Fall festival is Saturday 10/19/24.The PTA is also hosting middle schoolers for a movie themed party on Friday 10/25/24. Come join the fall fun!
While our focus is always on academic growth, let’s also continue to fall into fun. Let’s spend this week enjoying our fun & engaging school environment!
