A Message from Superintendent Murrieta
The past few weeks have been very challenging for the families of communities all across Arizona and the United States. Although we are a small, rural community, we have all been impacted in some way by the continuous circulation of reported threats to schools.
School safety is a top priority and it is very important that we rally together to minimize educational disruptions and maintain a safe, supportive campus for our Roadrunner students and staff. We are contantly reviewing our safety protocals and have been practicing our emergency repsonse systems. We have also been collaborating as a part of the Pinal County School Safety Program to increase the response time to our rural school.
Please partner with us by also having conversations with your children about the responsible use of social media and phone usage. REPORT, DON'T REPOST is the common message that we want our families to hear. All threats are taken seriously and will be investigated in partnership with the Pinal County Sheriff's Department. Students who make threats will be disciplined by the school and may also face criminal charges by law enforcement. We encourage parents to reach out to our school office at 520-424-3353 with any reports. There is also an annonymous tip line available on our district website, www.gostanfield.com.
