Stallion Express
December Newsletter
McGregor Families,
Tis the season to give thanks, spread joy and embrace your family!
This holiday season is undoubtedly one for the record books. I am so proud of the creativity, grit, and perseverance the McGregor Staff has shown. Their resilience to deliver a well-rounded educational experience is nothing less than extraordinary. Furthermore, I applaud you for your efforts, understanding and teamwork. Together, we will reach normality with a better perspective and a few more tools in our toolboxes.
In a few short weeks, we will all be given time to pause, take a breath, and enjoy what truly matters in life. I wish you all a happy holiday season and a relaxing winter break. May this new year bring you lots of joy and prosperity of life.
All we want for Christmas is... for our students to be back at school. We look forward to seeing you and our students again shortly.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Rachael Novak, ED.S.
McGregor Elementary Principal

Happy Holidays Healthy Stallion Families
The holidays will be different this year for sure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little family fun while staying safe. It is important now more than ever that we pay attention to our health and the health of our children.
I found this holiday calendar that will make the month of December fun and healthy for the whole family.
Download and print the calendar, then each morning read the day's healthy goal together with your children.
You can even print the calendar and separate the days into flashcards and talk about the day’s goal each morning at breakfast.
Reward them when they do a good job. Don’t forget to reward yourself as well!
Be safe, be well, forget the worries of 2020 as they will pass, enjoy this magical time of year!
Happy Holidays,
Nurse Graver and Nurse Szafarowicz
Spirit Wear Pickup Day
College and Career Family Night (Grades 5 & 6)
Join us on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 pm for this free Zoom event for parents and students in grades 5 and 6, as we explore avenues for ensuring a debt free education. You’ll learn about scholarships, grants, free financial aid, earn as you learn apprenticeships, and work/study opportunities that lead to well-paying jobs and no student or family debt.
All families who register will be mailed resources and information to help students start as early as middle school earning scholarships for college and post-secondary training. Whether you want to earn a training certification, a journeyman’s card, an associate’s degree, bachelors degree or even higher, we’ll show you the path to success without taking out loans or incurring debt.
And each family who registers will be placed into a drawing for $50 in gift cards.
The speakers at this event are:
Kerry Patrick Clark – Ruth E. Roach Foundation Scholarship Executive Director
Sara Cryan – Greater Toledo Community Foundation Scholarship Specialist
Pamala Mohler – Formerly of Associated General Contractors

Holiday Sing Along
Since we can't be together during this "most wonderful time of the year" to enjoy our annual Holiday Musical at school, let's all sing (and dance) a long from home! Invite the whole family to join in. Have fun! A collection of songs and dances will be available through your child's Music Google Classroom. Check it out! It will be released on Friday, December 18. Videos can be advanced using the arrows at the side of each video and the "auto play next video" feature can also be enabled for continuous singing, dancing, and fun!.
Picture Retakes
Any students that did not have their pictures taken here at McGregor in October will have their pictures taken that day. Anyone who received pictures that they were not happy with, may return their packets at that time to have their pictures retaken.
Thank you for your patience!
