Principal McCauley's Weekly Update
Week of September 23, 2024
Message from Principal McCauley
Hello Wolverine Families!
We had a great week of teaching and learning. This week scholars participated in the i-Ready diagnostic assessment in ELA and Math. The data from the assessment provided insight to the academic needs of our scholars. We will utilize this data to plan individualized instruction for the purpose of remediation, intervention, and enrichment. Our goal this year is to not only grow our scholars but to also increase grade level proficiency and college and career readiness. With your help and support at home, we know that we can succeed.
Please see below this week's happenings at Wilson STEM Academy.
It's GAME Time! Let's W.I.N (Work. Improve. be Nimble)
Chromebooks
In order for your scholar to recieve a school issued chromebook you must sign and return the technology acknowledgement forms. Majority of the assigned work requires scholars to utilize their chromebook for access. Please support our 1:1 initiative.
Parents of scholars with chrombooks:
Please see the directions below to troubleshoot accessing content from home.
Cell Phones
To enhance the learning experience and protect valuable instructional time, we want to remind all students to limit personal cell phone usage during school hours, in accordance with Rule 5 of the Code of Student Conduct. Cell phones must be turned off and stored during instructional time.
This measure will contribute to a focused and distraction-free atmosphere, allowing our educators to deliver the best possible education to every student. Students will continue to have access to the internet using district-issued devices, and any additional use of other personal technology devices for instructional purposes will be at the discretion of the school principal.
Please note, the school is not responsible for lost or stolen devices, per the CMS Code of Student Conduct Handbook.
If you need to get in touch with your scholar(s) and or get a message to them, please contact the front office. Any scholar who violates this policy will be subject to consequences. We appreciate your partnership and support.

At the end of the week the scholars who are in attendance and on time will participat in our AttenDANCE at the end of the day on Friday afternoon. Please see the spirit week flyer for more details.
