A message from the Principal
Casey Families,
As Veterans Day approaches, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the veterans in our community. We deeply appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of those who have served, including our staff members and their family members who have contributed to protecting our freedoms. Thank you for your service.
We’re excited to share that our Casey Student Government is supporting Coats for Kids, an annual program by Colvin Cleaners, from November 4th through November 15th. This wonderful initiative provides warmth to those in need across Western New York. If you have gently used coats to donate, please drop them off in the collection barrel located at our main entrance.
Additionally, we’ll be sending confirmation emails in the coming weeks for parent-teacher conferences. These emails will include the names of core academic teachers and the locations for your meetings. Please note the conference schedule:
- Virtual Conferences: Monday, November 25th, from 12:45 pm – 3:45 pm
- In-Person Conferences: All evening conferences, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Lastly, a big thank you to the Isgett and Ruppert families for sponsoring our November faculty meeting and for generously providing delicious fall treats! Our staff truly appreciates your thoughtfulness.
Thank you for your continued partnership,
Dr. Curella, Principal

Helpful Reminders
EARLY RELEASES
If you are picking up your child for an early release that has been arranged with attendance, you will need to come into the Casey Main Entrance to sign your child out. Please remember to send in a note for early releases, late arrivals, and absences. You can also report your student's attendance by logging into WITS and clicking on the Daily Attendance line on the homepage.
DROPPING OFF FORGOTTEN ITEMS
If you are dropping off an item for your student, please ensure the item is labeled with the student’s name. For your convenience, post-it notes are available in our lobby across from the green drop-off carts. For sanitary reasons, we ask that any clothing items or shoes be placed in a bag before dropping them off. Your cooperation is appreciated.
VISITORS TO CASEY
All District buildings, including Casey Middle School, are using the RAPTOR system to sign visitors in/out. All visitors must enter the building at the main entrance on Casey Road. Please be prepared to show government issued ID, such as a valid driver’s license, upon entering Casey. We will scan your ID and issue a visitors badge to be worn for the duration of your visit.
PARKING LOT REMINDER
Please avoid parking in the bus loop in front of the main entrance during morning arrivals (8:30-9:00am) and afternoon dismissal (3:15-3:45pm) so that your car does not get trapped by the buses coming into the loop. If you are coming to the school during these times, please park in the lot just north of the bus loop near the 5th grade wing.

A Message From The PTSA!
We are looking for a volunteer to collect submissions for this year's Reflections program.
What is Reflections? It is a national program that encourages students of all grades to and abilities to explore the arts! Each year students are asked to reflect on a theme and create original works of art in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
This year's theme is: Accepting Imperfection
If anyone is interested in chairing this program, please email PTSA co-president Lindsay Mang at lindsaymang@hotmail.com.
Scholastic Virtual Book Fair
Get ready—the Scholastic Virtual Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health. Here’s everything you need to know about the Virtual Book Fair:
Dates: Monday, November 4th - Sunday, November 17th
Location: Virtual Book Fair
Book Fair homepage: Casey Virtual Book Fair
All purchases will be made online through our book fair homepage and books will be shipped
directly to your home. While you’re there on our Virtual Book Fair homepage, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family can add funds.
Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope
you’ll join your child and take a look at our Virtual Book Fair. Happy reading!
PS: Need one more reason to visit the Book Fair? Every purchase at the Fair benefits our school!
