Each fall, Ross families are asked to voluntarily contribute $100 per student to cover the cost of school supplies for the coming year. The PTA provides funds to Ross teachers to purchase what they need for their students and classrooms. This saves parents a trip to the store and ensures equity among students.

In your order, you can donate additional funds to help families who aren't able to cover the full amount.

The Ross PTA will be hosting coffee hours at drop-off Wed-Fri mornings this week! Please stop by to learn about the PTA, our upcoming activities, and how you can get involved. We will also have new Ross-branded apparel for kids and adults for sale! Don't forget your credit card ;)

Principal Searl has just learned that the alley behind Ross will be getting repaved for a week, starting this Thursday. This means teachers will not have access to their parking spots! Can you help us secure 12 temporary parking spots/passes for our teachers and staff?

We are looking for anyone who can loan parking spots to teachers this Thurs-Fri and Mon-Thurs next week. Or, anyone who can print out a guest parking permit for a week starting this Thurs (most neighborhood residents should be able to do this). This will help our teachers avoid the expense of taxis or paid parking.

The Ross PTA is partnering with our Dupont Circle Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC 2B) to help promote pedestrian safety in our neighborhood. To better engage and reach the community, we're inviting Ross students to participate! We’re encouraging students to create artwork that can help raise awareness and educate our local neighbors and drivers about the importance of keeping our streets safe for everyone. Artwork may be featured in local businesses or on social media as part of this campaign, as well as used for signage around the neighborhood. We would also encourage families to post their art in their home windows and front yards during the month of September!

We encourage students and families to start creating art now - we hope to receive submissions by no later than September 9. We are working to plan one or more dedicated sessions, with materials, to support student participation. Details will be forthcoming shortly.

How to Submit Your Artwork:

1. Label with the artist's first name and age
2. Take a picture and email to RossPTAoperations@gmail.com
3. Or, you can drop your artwork at Ross, in the submission box in the lower level outside the main office
