Golden Pass Holder Events
We're pleased to offer several events this year for our Golden Bulldog Pass holders. The pass is available to our West York residents 65 and older and admits the holder to various District events and activities, as well as home athletic events, free of charge. We welcome those eligible who do not currently have a Golden Pass to stop by our Administration Office, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, to get your pass. All you need is a current photo ID showing your District address and date of birth.

If you know of a friend, neighbor, or family member who might benefit from a Golden Bulldog Pass, please share this information with them. Questions may be directed to BullDogMail@wyasd.org.
Worth Repeating
The content below was in last month's issue, but it's worth sharing again.
Communication
There are times when you may need to contact someone in the District regarding a concern. Our Chain of Communication guide (linked below) will help you determine who to contact for different situations.
If you have questions or concerns not addressed in this guide, please reach out to your child’s building office or principal.
Upcoming Events
Throughout the school year, we have many events for students and families. Of note this month will be Homecoming Week, September 25-30, which will feature a parade, bonfire, the homecoming court, and other events.
Visit our District calendar (linked below) to see what’s happening. Individual buildings may also communicate building-specific events through class and building newsletters.
School Board Meetings
Each month, from August through June, regularly scheduled meetings (Work Sessions and Voting Meetings) of the School Board are held in the Boardroom of the Administration Building. In addition to the two regular meetings, the School Board also hosts Board Committee Meetings. All are welcome to attend any of these public meetings. In-person attendance is recommended, but we also offer viewing-only attendance via Zoom during most meetings of the Board. Work Sessions and Voting Meetings are also live-streamed on our District YouTube Channel.
As mentioned last month, we will publish a monthly Board Bulletin, which will summarize the Work Session and Board Voting Meeting that occur during the month. The Bulletin will be emailed to all families in the same manner you receive this communication. Click here to view the September issue.
You can learn more about the meetings, agendas, and other information through the link below. If you have questions about meeting attendance not addressed here or on our website, please contact Tina Keeler @ trkeeler@wyasd.org.
Bulldog Pantry
The West York Bulldog Pantry is a non-perishable food center located in the High School, open to ALL District families, regardless of financial need, from kindergarten through 12th grade. The first distribution date for the school year will be Wednesday, October 25th, from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. All items will be available while supplies last. Pick-up is at Door 14 at the High School near the tennis courts. Please visit the pantry’s page on the District website for future distribution dates and times.
Donations are always welcome; they currently need non-perishable and household items, including boxed noodles, macaroni and cheese, and breakfast items. Please contact Ms. Amanda Burt, Life Skills Teacher at the High School amburt@wyasd.org, if you'd like to donate.
Blue & White Newsletter
Throughout the year, we highlight the awesomeness of students, faculty, and staff in our weekly Blue & White. The Blue & White is published weekly on Fridays and delivered via email. If you’re not already subscribed, you may sign up here. Prior week’s issues may be found here. We accept submissions for the Blue & White of school-related photos and outside activities. Please send photos and information about the photos to BullDogMail@wyasd.org.
