Students and staff are looking forward to a few days off for the Spring Holiday next week! As a reminder, schools are closed April 18th - 21st with an early dismissal on Thursday, April 17th - 1:30 PM. Enjoy the time!
Student Attendance Policy: _ As a reminder...
"The State of Maryland defines chronic absenteeism as missing 10% or more of school days regardless of reason." Therefore, students absent from school in excess of 16 days during the school year may fail the grade. If advanced to the next grade, students may be placed rather than promoted. We strive to help monitor and communicate this information with letters once a student has accumulated 4, 8, 12, and 16 absences.
End of Third Marking Period Celebration:
We have Mr. Hayhurst from SuperDoJo visiting on Tuesday, April 15th to speak with students regarding positive ways to regulate emotions! This event will take place during grade level special times. Thank you Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Pearson for organizing this event!
