March 2025 Update

MARCH 2025
Noticias from Mr. Macias 🎤
Hello!
We know that right now, many people are thinking about the end of Spring Break and what’s going to happen during March Madness, and we totally get that. As educators, we’re thinking about it too, but we’re also looking ahead to what comes after Spring Break—testing season!
When we return, it's crucial to make every minute of class count. This is the time to really focus on helping students think critically, practice their skills, and build their confidence.
We’ll do this by using strategies that keep students actively involved, encouraging them to discuss and apply what they’re learning. We want to make sure students have plenty of opportunities to talk, work together, and check their understanding by thinking through problems and explaining their ideas. The more they engage with the content—by talking about it, solving problems, and getting feedback—the better prepared they’ll be.
Engagement isn’t just about showing up; it’s about making sure every student is fully involved in meaningful, challenging learning. We’d really appreciate your help in encouraging your student to attend school every day, arrive on time, and come well-rested so they can make the most of each learning opportunity.
Let’s make the most of every moment!

Tip of the Month💡
Our kids are watching and listening when we fail to offer ourselves compassion — the kindness, caring and understanding we might offer a friend or even a stranger. When we beat ourselves up, our children through our example learn to be hard on themselves when they misstep or fail to reach a goal.
What we want for them instead is self-compassion.
