Week of February 3rd - February 8th
Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,
I hope this note finds you healthy, motivated, and ready to make the most of this semester. As we settle into the heart of our school year, I want to encourage everyone to stay focused and keep pushing toward success.
Whether in the classroom, on the court, in band practice, in the show ring, or any other activity, giving your best effort always pays off. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about showing up, working hard, and striving for growth every day. Your efforts matter, and they’re noticed.
A quick reminder that eligibility has started, so staying on top of your schoolwork is essential. We’ve had many absences recently due to illness, so if you've missed school, please take responsibility for connecting with your teachers and completing your makeup work. Keeping up now will save you stress later. Parents/Guardians, please remember to notify the office if your child is going to be absent.
We will also begin incorporating state test preparation into all classes. These tests are a chance to show what you’ve learned, and we’re here to help you feel confident and prepared.
Let’s keep building a positive, supportive environment where learning and growth are priorities. Be kind, stay motivated, and make each day count.
Sincerely,
Nicole Green
Principal

HMS Building-Wide Expectations
Classroom Expectations
These are our school-wide expectations for our students. Positive behavior fosters an environment where ALL students can learn and grow. It is our hope that our HMS families will discuss our school-wide behavior expectations and encourage positive behaviors at school and home.
Common Areas Expectations
Our school-wide expectations extend beyond the classroom. It is important that students also realize they are accountable for their behaviors in the hallway, cafeteria and at all school sponsored activities on and off campus.
