Begin Black History Month 2024 by commemorating the 70th anniversary of milestone Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education. Join West Des Moines Community Schools students, families, staff, and community members for a community engagement event from 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1. A panel will discuss the impact of Brown v. Board of Education, and attendees can experience healing circles, explore a pop-up museum from Taste of the Junction, and get diversity, equity, and inclusion updates. Refreshments will be served.
