Valentine's Day

HES will not accept outside deliveries of any kind for holidays (ex. Valentine's Day). This includes parents bringing flowers, balloons, etc to the office for drop-off. Thank you for understanding. See below for an opportunity to purchase a Valentine's gram for your student from our PTO.

Tardies

If your student arrives at school later than 7:15am, you must park and come into the front office to sign them in. You may not drop your child off and have them walk in alone. Students need to arrive on time each day.

Attendance

When your student is out, please remember to send a doctor or parent note when they return to school so that absences may be marked excused.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Spring conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, February 18 3:30-6:30. You should hear from your child's teacher soon, if you haven't already, regarding sign-ups for a conference time.

3rd Grade Promotion Law

In accordance with the third grade promotion law, all third grade parents should've received a letter in his/her child's folder on Friday, January 31 regarding this law as it impacts your student. If you did not receive this letter, please reach out to your child's teacher.

Approved Calendars

The Robertson County School Board has approved a revised calendar for the 2025-2026 school year and a final calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. Please see those attached below.

Robertson County students participate in benchmark testing to predict readiness for the end of the year TCAP assessment. Our final benchmarks will be given the week of February 24-28. Please encourage your student to take his/her time and to do his/her best. It is important that the data gathered accurately reflects what he/she can do as this gives us insight on where we need to provide additional support and reteaching.

Our H.E.S. Rocks Family Dance is happening on Friday, February 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This will be our one dance of the year and everyone is invited! Fathers & Daughters, Mothers & Sons and any dynamic duo that works for your household is invited to attend. Please save the date for our Spring Carnival! This will be our first year hosting a carnival as our spring fundraiser and we need your help! We still need classroom volunteers from the classes below.
