Dear Lowell High School Students and Families,
I hope you're all having a fantastic summer and making the most of your time off! As we approach the start of the new school year, I’m excited to share the first of a series of updates and helpful information to get you ready. This newsletter contains some basic information to help you prepare for the upcoming year, and we’ll be sharing more updates as the first day approaches. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me—I’m here to help!
Important Dates and Information:
Bus Information:
- This year, students will need to purchase bus passes. Please see below for information regarding public transportation to and from Lowell High School.
First Day of School: Tuesday, August 27th at 7:55 AM.
Class Schedules:
- Students in grades 10-12 can view their schedules in ASPEN by August 19th.
- Incoming 9th graders will receive their schedules by mail during the week of August 19th.
- Construction Update:
- As you may know, our high school is undergoing an exciting construction project that will soon provide us with a state-of-the-art facility. This new space will be equipped with the latest resources to help prepare our students for success. In next week's newsletter, we'll share updates about the new school configuration, including information on the building, travel routes, and entrance and exit plans. Stay tuned for more details!

Bus Ticket Sales Information:
- Payment and Pricing:
- Students will need to pay with cash to board the bus or purchase passes ahead of time.
- Tickets are $1.25 each way.
- Monthly passes are $25.
- Purchase Locations:
- Tickets are available at at the Kennedy Transportation Center, 115 Thorndike Street or 100 Hale St. Students must show their Student ID or class schedule if purchasing passes at these locations.
- There will be representatives selling tickets at the Freshmen Academy on August, 28th and at the main building on August 29th during all 4 lunches.
