Principal's Message
Dear Jesus,
You are loving and merciful.
Bring together and keep all families in
perfect unity of love and mutual support.
Instill in each member
the spirit of understanding and affection for each other.
Keep quarrels and bitterness far from them,
and for their occasional failures
instill forgiveness and peace.
Amen
Sacred Heart Church
First Reconciliation and Sacred Heart of Jesus
Congratulations to our students who celebrated their First Reconciliation on Wednesday. The children participated beautifully in the liturgy. One of the highlights was the children using candles to help us understand that although we all make mistakes, God is always there when we say sorry, and he is always ready to forgive us.
Year 6 led the school in a Liturgy of the Word in honour of the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This feast day emphasises the unmitigated love, compassion and long suffering of Jesus toward all. He loved us all so much, that he was willing to give his life for us on the cross. We recall his wonderful works and words that show us how to be good and kind people by the stories told of him in the Bible. At St Jude’s school, we try to Make Jesus Real (MJR) every day by being welcoming, by encouraging others to be their very best, by showing that we are truly sorry through our actions when we make mistakes, and by giving thanks to our parents, friends, teachers and God for all the wonderful blessings we enjoy each and every day.
Inter School Lightning Carnival
Students in our senior school took part in the inter school lightning carnival today, participating in a range of sports including football, soccer and netball. We are always proud to take our students to inter school events. Apart from being a healthy, fun filled day, they always display joy, fairness and great sportsmanship toward the children from the competing schools. Well done to all of our teams, and a special mention to the following teams for placing in their competition:
- Year 6 Netball Team - 1st Place
- Soccer Team - 3rd Place
School Disco
The day many of our students have been eagerly waiting for is almost here! Next Friday, 21st June, is our school disco. Pre-order forms went home last week for food or snacks. There will also be some items on sale during the disco, such as snacks, drinks, glow sticks and even a glitter station. Parents are always welcome to join us at the disco. There will be two sessions for our students. K-3 from … and 4-6 from ….. if you are not staying with your child/ren, we ask that you are prompt at the pick up time for your session.
Happy Birthday to the following students who have recently celebrated their special day!

Sacred Heart of Jesus Liturgy
On Monday students from our Yrs 1-6 classes took part in a beautiful liturgy to celebrate the Solemnity for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. During the liturgy we were reminded of Jesus' love for us and how we can show love to others by being a 'WEST' person and through the 'one percenters' - the small and random acts of kindness we can do each and every day to make someone's day! Thank you to our Year 6 leaders who led our liturgy and read with the utmost respect and reverence. Thank you also to all the students who took part in the liturgy and who raised the roof with their most angelic singing!
Sacrament of Reconciliation
On Wednesday, a number of students from our school joined together with students from our after school classes to take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. This beautiful Sacrament of healing reminds us of the importance of forgiveness and restoring our friendships with one another when things go wrong. The students were reverent throughout the celebration and participated fully in the liturgy. Congratulations!
