Message from Mr. Wilson
Dear Randle Family,
We’re off and running into the new year, and I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU for such a great start! Your dedication and partnership ensure that Excellence is the Standard every single day.
Parents, I want you to know how hard our teachers are working to provide the best possible instruction for our Lions. Your support means the world as we collaborate to help every student succeed.
A couple of reminders as we move forward:
- Tardy Policy Update: Please remember that our new tardy policy is now in effect. Tardies do not reset after each six weeks, and we’ve been impressed by how well students have adjusted and are getting to class on time. The updated policy is detailed below in the newsletter.
- Telecommunications Policy: We’ve also made changes to our telecommunications policy. Details can be found in the newsletter as well.
On a celebratory note, our Football Booster Club has created an opportunity for everyone to purchase the Official State Championship Shirt! If you haven’t already, check out the link here: Official 2024 State Champions Shirt. Every dollar collected supports our amazing football team, and I’ve already made my purchase—hope you do, too!
Our athletic teams are on fire! Basketball season is in full swing with both teams competing hard, and soccer is off to a strong start. Keep an eye out for girls' soccer team fundraisers, including scarves and shirts. Track season is right around the corner, and we’re excited for the performances ahead. Let’s not forget our swim team, which continues to shine in the pool. And soon enough, baseball and softball will take center stage.
Our talented fine arts department is also hard at work on their next production, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.
On the academic side, we’re preparing to kick off interventions to help our students excel on the upcoming STAAR tests. We’re also making some exciting adjustments to Lion’s Level UP, with more details coming soon. These initiatives are designed to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Finally, I encourage parents to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas. Your input is invaluable as we strive to make Randle High School the elite campus of LCISD.
Thank you for being a vital part of our community. Together, this is a great time to be a Lion!
Sincerely,
Mr. Brian Wilson
Interim Principal

Silver & Maroon Track Community Town Hall Meeting
As we continue our efforts to engage our community in shaping the future of Lamar CISD, we are gearing up for a series of important Town Hall meetings next week. These sessions are vital as they offer our families, staff, and community members a platform to voice their opinions and provide feedback that will influence our strategic planning for the next five years. Please review the information below and make plans to attend. The district wants to hear from YOU!
Help Us Show Our Staff Some Love!
We are excited to host an upcoming staff appreciation event to honor the incredible hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff. To make this celebration extra special, we are asking for your help!
We would greatly appreciate donations of gift cards in any amount to be used as part of our appreciation efforts. Gift cards to local restaurants, coffee shops, or stores are always a hit, but any type of card is welcome.
If you would like to contribute, please place the gift card in an envelope addressed to Mrs. Kinney (Room 5208) and drop it off at the front office by Friday, January 31, 2025.
Your generosity will help us show our amazing staff just how much they are valued and appreciated. Thank you for your support in making this event a success!

Officer Loya WINS Officer of the Year for the LCISD Police Department!
Congratulations to Officer Loya! School Resource Officer Loya was selected as the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Police Department's Officer of the Year!
Officer Loya was born and raised in Rosenberg, Texas. He is a proud graduate of Terry High School. This is Officer Loya's first year in LCISD. Prior to coming to Randle High School, Loya spent 3 1/2 years in Katy ISD. We consider Officer Loya to be one of our biggest supporters (and football good luck charm). He is ALL IN for our Lions! He is loved and appreciated by students, staff, and the community. We are blessed to have him with us each and every day!

Parent Standards of Conduct
Lamar CISD welcomes parents and guardians to be engaged and involved in student academics and activities. Mutually respectful behavior at school campuses and in interactions with campus staff is essential for fostering a positive and productive school environment. Establishing clear parent/guardian standards of conduct sets expectations and creates a respectful and supportive atmosphere for everyone involved.
- Safety and Security: Parents/guardians must comply with safety and security protocols on campus, including sign-in procedures and visitor badges.
- Adherence to School Policies: Parents/guardians must familiarize themselves with school policies and follow them, including rules related to student drop-off and pick-up, dress code, and behavior expectations.
- Respectful Communication: Parents/guardians must communicate with school staff in a respectful and courteous manner. This includes using appropriate language, listening to staff members’ perspectives, and refraining from disrespectful or aggressive behavior.
- Appropriate Use of Technology: Parents/guardians are expected to use technology, such as email or messaging apps, responsibly when communicating with school staff.
- Appropriate Time and Place: Parents/guardians are expected to understand the appropriate times and locations for discussions with teachers or school staff. There may be designated parent-teacher conferences or specific office hours when staff can address concerns.
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Parents/guardians must respect the privacy and confidentiality of other students and families. Discussions about individual students must be conducted privately and not shared with others.
- Conflict Resolution: Parents/guardians are expected to engage in constructive conflict resolution if they have concerns or disagreements with school staff. This includes seeking appropriate channels for dispute resolution and avoiding confrontations on campus.
- Feedback and Suggestions: Parents/guardians should feel welcome to provide feedback and suggestions to the school administration but should do so in a constructive and respectful manner.
Prohibited Behaviors
In order to provide a peaceful and safe school environment, Lamar CISD prohibits the following behaviors by parents/guardians and visitors:
- Abusive, threatening, profane or harassing communication, either in person, by e-mail or text/voicemail/phone or other written or verbal communication
- Disruptive behavior that interferes or threatens to interfere with campus operations, including the effective operation of a classroom, an employee’s office or duty station, a campus lobby, or school grounds, including sporting events, parking lots and car-pickup
- Threatening to do bodily harm to a District employee, visitor, fellow parent/guardian or student
- Threatening to damage the property of a District employee, visitor, fellow parent/guardian or student
- Damaging or destruction of school property
Consequences
Depending upon the severity of the incident, parents/guardians or visitors may be removed from or otherwise banned from campus and participation in school-sponsored events under the criminal trespass laws.
In situations involving lesser infractions or where remediation is viable, a warning will be provided in writing prior to the filing of trespass and issuance of a formal ban. Should a parent/guardian or visitor fail to heed the direction issued in the warning, a ban or other restrictions designed to deter the conduct will follow.
No restriction, however, will prevent the parent/guardian from working collaboratively with the campus or district to meet the child’s educational needs, nor will a parent/guardian be excluded from a child’s IEP meeting.
Specific procedures for campus warning and ban decisions can be found in policy GKA (LEGAL) and GKA (LOCAL), as well as the Lamar CISD Student Handbook.
