Town Hall Meeting Tonight

Districtwide Spelling Bee
Congratulations to Hansica Sarvan from Cerritos Elementary, this year's District Spelling Bee winner! Aiden Atienza from Bragg Elementary took runner-up honors. Each of our 19 elementary schools sent a student who qualified for the District Spelling Bee by winning their school’s Spelling Bee. Congratulations to Hansica, Aiden, and all the contestants.

ABC Film Festival
The first-ever District-wide Film Festival is looking for entries from our talented students. The Film Festival is open to all ABCUSD students and will culminate in an event on March 20, 2024, at the Grace Hu Auditorium at Whitney High School. Celebrating Black History Month
ABCUSD students are encouraged to participate in the Black History Month Visual & Performing Arts Contest. This year’s contest theme is “African Americans and the Arts,” and students may submit a visual or performing art piece, from poems and monologues to paintings and drawings. Free Workshop - Resume & Job Search Skills for Teens
The ABC Adult School is hosting a free workshop for families and teens focused on resume writing and how to search for a job. The workshop, part of the school's Parent Leadership Academy, is set for February 21, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the ABC Adult School Cabrillo Lane Campus. Click here for more information.
Carver Celebrates Earning a National Blue Ribbon
Kennedy Students Jump for a Healthy Heart and Kids Heart Challenge
On Wednesday, February 14th, students at Kennedy STEM Academy participated in the Jump for A Healthy Heart Challenge. Led by Mrs. Matthews, students from TK-6th grade jump rope for over 30 minutes! This was in partnership with the American Heart Association, where students raised $2,400 in life-saving donations to help others in our country have healthy hearts! Great job, Kennedy Kangaroos!

In 1965 the Artesia, Bloomfield, and Carmenita School Districts unified and became the ABC Unified School District. Today, the District serves over 20,000 Pre-K to 12th Grade and adult education students through its 30 campuses, adult school, and virtual academy. The District is home to some of the most awarded and recognized schools in California and serves the cities of Artesia, most of Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens, as well as portions of Lakewood, Long Beach, and Norwalk.
