Cradles to Crayons Volunteering
Saturday, December 7th from 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Join the BFC TOMORROW to volunteer for the Cradles to Crayons event! Register today to volunteer. Volunteers must by registered prior to the event as space is limited. Please note, this is not a drop off event! All children need to be accompanied by an adult! Please reach out to the BFC with any questions!
Volunteer for the Evening Concert & Winter Show!
There are a variety of ways you can volunteer this year for the Winter Show! We need volunters for both the evening concert (Dec. 18th @ 5:30) as well as the day of performances (December 19th)
Please sign up for what you are able, and reach out to Mrs. Soto (sjschouweile@cps.edu) with any questions!
GoCPS Deadline Fast Approaching
GoCPS applications for the 2025–26 school year will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Families can use GoCPS to explore and apply to academic programs around the city, including magnet, career and technical education, selective enrollment, and charter high schools. Families interested in elementary charter schools must apply to those schools directly rather than using GoCPS.
Families can visit the GoCPS website for more information, and to complete the GoCPS application by the deadline of Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 5 p.m.
Local School Council
Bateman LSC
The Bateman Local School Council (LSC) supports our school by making decisions that affect our children, their education, and the environment of the school. The primary responsibilities of the LSC include the following:
- to select the school’s principal & renew the principal’s contract,
- approve the Continuous Improvement Work Plan (Bateman CIWP)
- approve the school’s budget for the school year.
Monthly meetings will take place in the Bateman Library on a rotating morning and afternoon schedule. Morning meetings will be at 8:15am and after school meetings will take place at 3:30pm.
Bilingual Advisory Committee
Bateman Elementary is excited to welcome the following new parents to the Bilingual Advisory Committee. La Primaria Bateman se complace en darle la bienvenida a los siguientes nuevos padres al Comité Asesor Bilingüe.
