Mamma Mia!
The RHS production of Mamma Mia was a huge success. Over 1500+ community members came out to see RHS students showcase their talents. With a vibrant set and a talented cast, this show blew the audience away! Congratulations to all that were involved on a successful show.
Volleyball Lock In
This weekend teams will face off in the annual volleyball lock in! Good luck and have fun!
Looking Back on February
Voices of the Youth Poetry Reading
The Youth Equity Squad hosted a poetry reading event, Voices of the Youth on February 29th in the LMC. Students were invited to share their poetry in front of their peers. Community Poets T'challa Williams and Frederick Douglass Knowles II graciously visited RHS and read their poetry and answered students' questions. The event successfully amplified our students' voices and showcased their writing talents.
NHS TRIVIA NIGHT
RHS National Honor Society raised $405 for the kids at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Thank you to all that came out to participate! Mrs. Lanz was the MVP of Trivia Night, crushing the third round and bringing home the victory for her team.
Rams & Roses Sale was a Success
Mrs. Oaks business class sold roses the week of Valentines day. The beautiful roses were a great gift to teachers, friends, or to yourself! Our students sold 200 roses with a profit of about $800.00.

Thorpe Poetry Contest Honoros RHS Students
Congratulations to juniors Athena Lavigne and Brooke Vasquez! They have been cited for excellence in the nationwide 2024 Nancy Thorpe Poetry contest sponsored by Hollins University. Their poems were chosen as two of 96 Honorable Mention poems out of over 630 entries.

Wrestling- Miles Tolman, Sam Montgomery, Malakye Pinckney
Congratulations to Ava Zuccalo and Nora LoCicero who both finished 2nd in the weight classes in the female wrestling tournament last weekend. They will compete at the New England competition.
Highlights from the winter season
- The wrestling team won the NCCC Conference tournament for the first time in school history.
- Boys basketball team qualified for the NCCC and state tournaments.
- The girls and boys indoor track teams both finished 2nd in the conference.
- Our girls ice hockey co-op team has advanced to the state tournament semifinals at the time of this publication.
- The cheerleading team has competed at several events and will host the NCCC competition at RHS on 3/22.
- The Unified sports team hosted the NCCC tournament and will compete at Mohegan Sun at halftime of the basketball championship game.

Students and Teachers Utilize Virtual Reality Lab
Students in Mrs. Bridwell and Mr. Distasio's class used the zSpace in the Month of February. Students were able to use 3D glasses and stylus pens to investigate various topics such as gravity, aviation, the California gold rush, human anatomy of the heart, and defining variables in a physics experiment.
