LISD Expect Excellence Newsletter
August 26, 2024
The 2024-2025 school year is in full swing at Levelland ISD. All our campuses have welcomed
back the students and everyone has settled into a routine. With the new school year, there are
new adventures, new opportunities for growth and learning, and new friendships being formed.
To begin the school year, Levelland ISD staff received a powerful message about positivity from
Dr. Jim Van Allan. He is a co-author of The Energy Bus for Schools, which focuses on steps to
removing negativity and the powerful impact that positivity can have. To summarize Dr. Van
Allan, positivity can be achieved by inviting others on the bus and building a positive culture.
Additionally, we should be fueling our ride with positive energy, loving our passengers,
transforming negativity and reenergizing with purpose, as well as adding others to our positive
bus. We know that challenges will arise throughout the school year and we will work to
overcome them with teamwork and a positive attitude.
At Levelland ISD, we are focused on positive teamwork and moving forward with purpose for all
our students. Schools are for kids and they will remain our priority. Our student groups are busy
with practice and competitions. Our classrooms are focused on instruction and learning. Our
support staff work every day to provide support, nutrition, and clean and safe environments for
all students. Every staff member is sitting in the driver’s seat of the bus and are motivated to
provide a positive environment for our students.
We invite you to join us on our positivity bus and witness first hand all the amazing things our
students are doing. Feel free to call the office of your campus of choice and offer to volunteer
or support our students. Our student groups are active most evenings and you are always
welcome to attend those events. The students at Levelland ISD are our future and we all play a
role in shaping their education.
Expect Excellence!

Our 2025 Seniors started the year off with their Annual Senior Sunrise Breakfast. They were excited to see everyone and had butterflies at the same time when they realized this was the last first day of High School for them. Thank you to all the parents for putting on such a great event! Oh how we love these students! We #expectexcellence from these kids and wish them the best last year!
First Day.........
It was published that our LISD students enjoyed their first day of school. Their day was filled with laughter, joy, and new beginnings. We know that our students #expectexcellence and are going to embrace the opportunities that come their way. We hope they discover their passion, make new friends, create beautiful memories, grow, and learn this year. But look how much fun these administrators had on the first day!
Sweeter Year
Levelland ISD Administration made the first day with students just a little bit "Sweeter" when they visited each campus to deliver cookies on the 15th! We are so thankful for our supportive administration that encourages us to #expectexcellence in ourselves, and do our best to teach every child every day! Thank you for the sweet treat!
