Parent Night
Parent night will be on Thursday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m. This is the only event we ask parents to attend without their children. Teachers will be reviewing classroom and curriculum information. Nothing Bundt Cakes will also be here for anyone wanting to purchase a yummy treat (a portion of the proceeds go back to South).

Spirit Wear
We’re excited to offer a wonderful resource for our school community! If your child is in need of gently used school spirit wear, we encourage you to have your child come and see Mrs. Biddle and/or Ms. Lloyd. We have a selection of T-shirts and some hoodies.
This initiative aims to ensure that every student can show their school spirit, regardless of their circumstances. Please have your student come down to Mrs. Biddle and Ms. Lloyd's office.
Apex Fundraiser Event

Upcoming Events
- Take a break from cooking and help us support our local businesses! Noodles and Company will donate 25% of sales made by South Families on Tuesday, September 17th, from 4:00-8:00 pm. Be sure to mention South Elementary when placing your order in person or enter code Giving25 in the coupon code line if ordered online or through their app. Thank you for supporting South Elementary!
- Please join us for our first PTO meeting of the 2024-2025 school year on Thursday, September 26th at 7:00 pm in the school cafeteria (updated date and time). Come learn more about Supporters of South and ways to support our teachers and school! There will be a PTO outing after the meeting. More details to come!
- We're working with the Apex leadership group again this year for our annual fundraiser and the Apex obstacle course is returning to South! More information about the fundraiser will be forthcoming, however please save the date for the obstacle course: September 25th. We're looking for parent volunteers to help on the day of the event. If interested in participating in a 2-3 hour shift, please sign up using this link: Apex Obstacle Course Volunteer Sign Up Please note: all volunteers are required to complete the Raptor application each school year. Mrs. Gidcumb did a “get to know you” activity with Mrs. Heidrich’s second grade class that uses concepts found in our R.A.C.E.S. literacy model.

South currently has an opening for a .5 Building Paraprofessional. South is a wonderful place to be day in and day out and we would love to have members of the South family community join us!
