PTO Corner

Code to Contribute: iCode is hosting a STEAM event for GES families on December 8th from 5:30 - 8pm. Drop off your student and enjoy a night out or get some shopping done while kids participate in hands-on STEM activities for 2 hours and enjoy some pizza and juice! STEM activities will include each of these activities for 30 minutes so that kids can rotate through them all: Basic animation using Scratch, Robotics challenge, Learning about electricity with Snap circuits kits and playing Minecraft or Roblox in their decked out Gaming hub.

Last week was full of more Gator Gallop fun for our top earning classrooms! We hosted pizza parties for the top earning class in each grade level and Mrs. Becks 3rd grade class was awarded a special visit from the Kona Ice Truck as a reward for being the top earning class in the entire school! Way to go Gators- it was so exciting celebrating your efforts!

Last weekend GES Choir students performed the National Anthem at the Indy Fuel Hockey Game! The PTO was happy to fund transportation and sponsor some choir students so everyone had the opportunity to perform. We want to extend a special thank you to Mrs. K for organizing such an amazing experience for our students and to all of the chaperones! It was such an amazing night!

Our Staff Appreciation team surprised our staff with a tasty treat before Thanksgiving break! We would also like to thank all of the first grade classrooms for keeping the lounge stocked throughout November!
