2017 Poem In Your Pocket

Poem in Your Pocket Day is a national day where people are encouraged to carry an original or favorite poem in their pocket and share that poem with others throughout the day. The day is officially on April 27th, but we are celebrating at Barrow on April 6 & 7.

Every class will come to the library for 20-30 minutes. Students will have a chance to step up to our open microphone and share a poem. We celebrate that poem through snapping our fingers.

We also broadcast our poetry readings live on Youtube. You can look through the list of videos below and see what time your child's class is reading live. Even if you can't tune in live, you can watch the archive later.
