Quarter 1 library update

What's new in our library!!!
Our new mural
Throughout last year and into the summer we have been collaborating with PTO on different designs and ways we wanted our mural to look.
We wanted a central theme of a love of books to flow through the library. With famous characters and quotes of positivity from authors. We also wanted to make sure that it was colorful and welcoming.
Mr. and Mrs. Rucker knew of one of our staff members Tiffani Jakovac who designs and paints murals. She was very helpful and she quickly got to work in our library. The finished result was amazing!
Our book focus this year.
The Most Magnificent Thing.
Last year we focused on the book The Circles All Around US. The book focused on making our "circle" bigger so that more people could be inside of it making for new connections and friendships. This year our theme is about not giving up. We wanted to focus our ideas on making sure that our students know it is okay to fail and if you do the best thing that can happen, is you learn from your mistake and keep trying. That is the central theme for this book.
What's new in our library!
Sunlight on the Snow Leopard
The magic tree house is back with a message from Morgan le Fay telling Jack and Annie to seek out the Gray Ghost and listen to her story, and immediately they are whisked away to Nepal where they meet Tenzin, a climber who has recently lost his family, and who takes them up to the mountain to meet a snow leopard
Time of the Turtle King
It's just a regular day when ordinary kids Jack and Annie are whisked away in the magic tree house to the Galapagos islands, where they must save a giant tortoise from an erupting volcano! But what do Jack and Annie know about saving turtles?! Plenty, thanks to some magic that makes them experts. A helicopter ride, rushing lava, and a whole lot of determination make this one adventure Jack and Annie will never forget!
Snow Leopards and Other Wild Cats
Filled with up-to-date information, photographs, illustrations, and fun tidbits from Jack and Annie, the Fact Trackers are the perfect way for kids to find out more about the topics they discover in their favorite Magic Tree House adventures.
What our students are loving so far this year!
Creepy Crayon!
Jasper Rabbit has a problem: he is NOT doing well in school. His spelling tests? Disasters. His math quizzes? Frightening to behold. But one day, he finds a crayon lying in the gutter. Purple. Pointy. Perfect. Somehow…it looked happy to see him. And it wants to help.
Dragon of the Red Dawn
Jack and Annie are headed to a land of fierce samurai and great beauty, the capital city of Edo (now the city of Tokyo), in ancient Japan in the 1600s. They bring only a research book to guide them and a magic wand with three special rules.
Cat Kid Comic Club Influencers
The Cat Kid Comic Club is in crisis! After learning that one of their comics will be published, the baby frogs are filled with anxiety and doubt. How will they get their creative groove back? Will Naomi or Melvin emerge as a leader? Will Flippy convince them to finally straighten up and fly right?
