Students Enjoy New Career Readiness Bootcamp
Naperville Central and Naperville North have partnered with KidsMatter to create a new job and career readiness bootcamp called Your Brand Matters. As part of the bootcamp, students work to enhance their resumes, applications, interviewing skills and more.
Naperville Central student participated on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and the event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Naperville North.
From the Kitchen: Combo Meals
This week we’re taking a look at our combo meals. These meals are easy to put together and provide the full range of nutrition for a student’s school day. As a reminder, every combo meal MUST include a fruit and/or vegetable and students are welcome to take both. Watch for our colorful signs and dots in the cafeteria to help guide students to a complete meal at your school!
Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Join us in celebrating an evening of Hispanic and Latin American contribution to our community from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Jefferson Junior High. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other families within Naperville.
NNHS Marching Band At Disney World!
The Naperville North Marching Huskies Marching Band is honored to have been selected to participate in a Disney World parade this weekend at Disney World Orlando. Congratulations and good luck Marching Huskies!
Crosstown Classic Elementary Student Races
Naperville 203 students are invited to participate in the Crosstown Classic Races from 4-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at Naperville North. Click below to register. This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents are responsible for their runners. Runners may run even if they are not a member of their school's run/cardio club.
Board of Education: Public Comments Submitted Online Due By 3 p.m. on Meeting Dates
To ensure that we are able to collect and share public comments in a timely manner, the deadline to submit written public comments online has been changed to 3 p.m. on the day of Board of Education meetings.
Naperville 203 Families Invited To Attend IPSD 204's Mental Health Symposium
Naperville 203 families are invited to attend an upcoming Mental Health Symposium being hosted Indian Prairie School District 204. The event will be held Saturday, October 15, at Metea Valley High School from 8 a.m.-12:30 pm. The symposium will include a continental breakfast, keynote session, multiple breakout sessions, and a community resource fair.
Homeless Veterans Coat Drive
The Rotary Club of Naperville's Veteran Coat Drive is on for 2022! All coats collected will benefit homeless veterans. We are looking for donations of men's winter coats - new or in good condition - size L, XL, XXL, and XXXL. The drive runs through October 24. Stop by any of these locations to donate a coat today!

College Of DuPage Business Professions Spotlight
Naperville 203 students and families are invited to discover educational and career opportunities in a broad range of areas during the College of DuPage Business Professions Spotlight from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, in Student Resource Center Room 2000 at the Glen Ellyn campus.
Autism Speaks Walk
Naperville 203 families are invited to join the world's largest autism fundraising event dedicated to supporting the needs of people with autism and their families throughout their journey. The suburban walk will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, at Cantigny Park in Wheaton.
VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award
Each year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars selects elementary, middle and high school teachers to participate in the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher program. Teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism are prime candidates for this award.

What do college rankings really mean? What is their relationship to future outcomes? What questions are asked of admission staff most often. How do we maximize well-being and self-care in these challenging years? All are welcome!
OCTOBER 13: Success is NOT a Straight Line: Skills to Thrive in Trying Times
Come learn the “foundational” skills children need to develop perseverance, and the “ultimate life skills.” Levine emphasizes thriving amid changes and preparing kids for an uncertain future. With practical research-based tools, she will explain how to raise healthy, motivated kids, capable of reaching their full potential. This important psychologist's groundbreaking books and clinical practice with stressed, anxious, depressed, and exhausted teens (and parents) makes this event a must-see.
Youth Voices Club
Youth Voices is a student run nonprofit organization that aims to empower today's youth through speech and debate. With over 200+ students, accessible programs, and high quality coaching, we host various public speaking classes and opportunities throughout the year.
Come join our FREE weekly virtual club sessions. These one hour long meetings are held over zoom. Our student personnel organize engaging activities, lectures, and games for students to learn fundamental public speaking and critical thinking skills. The activities are tailored to each student, so all experience levels and age groups are welcome! Our next meeting is on Saturday, 10/8 from 7 pm to 8 pm! Students will participate in a fun competition to review some basic concepts, and a storytelling improv activity, where they will learn to think on their feet, exercise creativity, and collaborate with others.
