Cortland Eagle Express 💛🖤💛
January 13 - January 17
Message from the Principal
Welcome Back!
We hope you had a restful break. We understand that our return has been a bit challenging with three eLearning days to start the semester. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature calms down, allowing us to return to a more regular schedule next week.
Just a friendly reminder: we have used all of our asynchronous eLearning days. We will utilize our two built-in snow days next. After those days, the state mandates that we transition to synchronous learning, which will require students to receive live instruction for at least 50% of the day. This will be conducted through Google Meets. Should we reach that point, we will ensure that a detailed schedule for each classroom is provided.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate this together!
Mrs. Lister

Important Forms
Information from the office
Remember to check your email on Fridays (normally @ 3:30) for important information coming home. This is how we will communicate with families about what is going on here at the school and Seymour Community Schools.
Information about the upcoming week.
Information about after-school activity sign-ups (camps, sports sign-ups, etc.) as the information is provided to us. Forms are only sent home with students if they are provided by the organization.
If you change your email address at any time during the year, please go to your Harmony Family Access account and update your information for each child linked to your account. Please send this information to kleberb@scsc.k12.in.us so that I can update our Cortland Eagle Express email list.
Report cards
Report cards will come home on Monday. You can access your child's report card from your Harmony Family Access account after 3:30 PM today.
Please sit down with your student and congratulate them on their good marks, applaud their efforts, and make a plan to work on subjects that need attention. This is a fantastic time to find out which subjects your student enjoys and where they would like your help. Sharing time is the best gift we can offer! You can also access your child's report card through your Harmony Family Access account.
Harmony Family Access
If you have trouble signing into your Harmony account, please do not create a new account. Please contact the school office, and we can resend your username to you. Be sure that you are updating all your demographics. Please check cell phone numbers, alert numbers, email addresses for parents, guardian text addresses (cell phone/carrier), andemployers. This information is vital for proper communication during the school year. If information is sent through the Harmony system for important updates, only the email addresses and phone numbers (text alerts) that are listed on your child's profile will receive the information. If you have any questions, please let me know. kleberb@scsc.k12.in.us
Sign-in / Sign-Out form
Reminder: when dropping your child off after 8:15 or picking your child up before 3:10, you will need to sign your child in or out by either filling out the online form linked above or scanning the QRcode located on the table in the front lobby of the school. If you are picking up your child early, pleaseinform the school office beforehand so we know they will be picked up during the school day.
