A Welcome Message from Dr. Todd
Greetings Awesome Wildcats,
Words cannot describe how excited I am to be your new Principal at Wilkerson Intermediate School starting this upcoming school year. I also look forward to the new memories and opportunities that we are going to create during these pivotal moments of your child’s intermediate school years. Since my arrival, everyone has been so accepting with well wishes and warm embraces, there is no doubt in my mind that I am at the right place.
A little bit about myself, I am originally from Dallas, Texas (Yes! I am a Dallas Cowboy’s Fan). I am a proud alumnus of Prairie View A&M University where I received all my Post-Secondary Degrees. As we embark on this next school year, this will be my twelfth year in education. Throughout my career, I have served in many capacities such as: sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Reading and Language Arts Teacher, English Language Arts Instructional Coach, High School Testing Coordinator, High School & Intermediate School Assistant Principal. I am also the founder of the male mentoring organization, Boyz 2 Men, which has subgroups planted in several districts in the greater Houston area. I am also excited to announce we will start our very own mentoring program at Wilkerson this fall. In my spare time when I am not at school. I love to Travel, spend time with family & friends, watch sports, listen to all types of music, and I love to cook (Food is my favorite hobby; Yes, I’m a foodie). I am also married to a wonderful woman name Shaikethia and we have one daughter; Taylor.
As the Principal of Wilkerson Intermediate, I vow to make the seven plus hours your child is at school the best learning experience that will stimulate, motivate and captivate them in all areas. I have an open door policy and will always make myself available to meet your needs. Our building will not open until 8:15am. Therefore, we are asking parents to please refrain from dropping your kid(s) off before that time to coincide with Covid-19 guidelines. All students must wear masks at all times. We highly encourage all students to bring their personal water bottles and hand sanitizers (We do have hand sanitizer stations throughout the building). Also your voice is important to us. If you should ever need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me at 832-592-8900 or ctodd@conroeisd.net. Once again, I look forward to an incredible school year with your support.
Wishing you the Best,
Dr. Carlton Todd

5th Grade Electives!
Art and Choir have a set fee to cover materials and supplies, much of which will be your child's to keep! The fee for Art and Choir is $20. Please do not allow fees to keep from choosing a certain course! We will work with you and can spread payments out weekly, monthly or in any way that works for you!
Please note, Band and Orchestra require the purchase of a t-shirt (uniform) and the purchase or rental of an instrument. The fees for instruments fluctuate, depending on the instrument. In some cases, we may have school owned instruments that can also be rented for a fee to cover summer repairs and cleaning. Instrument selection can also be impacted by several factors such as mouth and teeth shape and even the length of your arms! There's an instrument for ANYONE who wants to play, but we ask that you allow us to assist you in the selection so that we can be sure you are paired with a selection that best suits each student.
