Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
Well, we’ve made it through another extremely cold spell and are hopefully moving into what is considered more “normal” temps for January! You know it’s all in your perspective when the thought of making it into the mid 30’s sounds warm!!
We are excited to announce some very important dates coming up in February. Please make sure you make note of February 13th and all of the informative events happening on that day. We will be holding our Transition Fair during the end of our day where BHS students will have the opportunity to visit several businesses and educational institutions to learn about what they offer. We will be holding our final, formal parent/teacher conferences for the 2024-2025 school year. Pay attention for a sign up link coming soon.
Also, if your students plan to take a College Credit Plus (CCP) course for the 2025-2026 school year, please make sure you attend the mandatory CCP/Advanced Placement (AP) Information Night on February 13th as well. This evening is full of important information you will need as you help your student navigate course selections for next year.
I know it’s difficult to believe, but February and March are important months as high schools start working towards scheduling and planning for the following year. We will continue to communicate important dates and information to both you and your students.
Have a great weekend, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
In service to our Bulldogs.

The FAFSA is available now!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2025-26 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are at least eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the U.S. Department of Education has announced that the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.
Your FAFSA, Your Future - Game On!!!
