Week of 8/26
HMS Weekly Update
Week of August 26th
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are excited to share that our middle school students are thriving! We are seeing so many great things out of our Middle School Rangers.
To build on this positive momentum, we’re introducing a new program called PBIS Rewards. This initiative aims to acknowledge students for demonstrating positive behavior. We believe this will further enhance their learning experience and encourage continued success. Below, I have attached a video that explains PBIS Rewards a little further.
On Friday, your Middle School Ranger received PBIS Rewards information to give you. This information will help you download the PBIS Rewards parent app. Using this app, you will be able to see the points that your student is earning.
We have a busy week ahead. Please be sure to check out the Important Dates section of this newsletter so you are up to date on all of the middle school events.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out!
Best regards,
Mr. Endres, Principal
Ms. Coalter, Assistant Principal

Our Teacher of the Year!
Hamilton Middle School's 23/24 Teacher of the Year is Ms. Hailey Warner!
Ms. Warner teaches 7th grade Language Arts here at Hamilton Middle School. Ms. Warner came to us all the way from St. Paul, Minnesota! While living in St. Paul, Ms. Warner would travel across state lines every day to Wisconsin, where she taught 7th grade language arts for five years. Mrs. Warner earned her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Be sure to congratulate Ms. Warner when you see her!

4. Students should remain seated, keep their hands and feet in their own space and talk quietly with whom they are sitting
Parents/guardians- please do not enter the bus driveway while buses are parked in the lot.
Car rider updates
1. Car riders should enter/exit the building using the front doors.
2. Students should enter/exit the vehicle once it has pulled up to the sidewalk area.
- Parents/guardians- in the afternoon, if you do not see your student, please continue to move forward so we can keep the line moving.
3. In the afternoon, students should not walk across the parking lot or the grassy area to get to a car that is not yet to the sidewalk. This is a significant safety concern!

What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. When implemented with fidelity, PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. It also improves teacher health and wellbeing. It is a way to create positive, predictable, equitable and safe learning environments where everyone thrives.
