Cardinal CC Runners Race to Amazing Section Finish
On a near perfect weather day at the Section 7AAA Meet last Thursday, the Cardinal Cross Country Team had one of their best days in recent history! Of the 36 Cardinal Runners that competed, 28 runners finished with a Seasonal Best with 24 of the 28 runners also scoring an All Time Personal Record!
Congratulations to Lachlan Demmer as he became the 2024 Section 7AAA Champion while running the second fastest time in Coon Rapids CC History and qualifying for the State Meet! Also qualifying for the State Meet for the Boys was Owen James, as he joined the Cardinal Sub-17 Club for our Cross Country Runners and finishing in 13th place overall and earning the number 5 spot for State Qualifiers for Individuals! The both of them helped the Boys team to a 4th place finish, just 4 points out of 3rd place.
Congratulations also goes to Ruby Demmer as she became the fastest 5K runner in Coon Rapids CC History as she finished in 9th place overall and qualified for the State Meet as she helped the Girls team to a 7th place finish!
Congratulations to all CC runners and their coaches on an amazing end to a great season! And good luck to Lachlan, Owen, and Ruby at the State CC Meet on Saturday!

"Ads for Grads" for the 2024-2025 Yearbook
Attention Senior Parents- Senior year is an important milestone in many student's lives and it’s important to find creative ways to commemorate your student’s senior year, celebrate all of their hard work and accomplishments throughout their school career, and let them know that you love and are proud of them. A fun and easy way to do this is to place a Recognition Ad, or an “Ad for Grads”, in the 2024-2025 Yearbook. This is something that your student can look back on for years to come. It is very simple to create an “Ad for Grad.” Just follow the details below:
- Visit www.jostensadservice.com to begin creating your ad today using your favorite photos of your student and a personal message.
- Choose any photos you like: a baby photo, a grade school photo, or just a photo of your student that you love--you can even take a picture of the photo you want to use and upload that image from your phone.
- Photos may be in color or black and white, and you pick the fonts and background.
- Ads are available in two different sizes, 1/4 page for $60 or 1/8 page for $40.
- The Ads for Grads deadline is February 1, 2025.
If you have any questions or need tips on how to upload the pictures you want to use, please email Kari Berg at karilee.berg@ahschools.us or check out this sheet from Jostens with FAQs.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Senior All Night Party Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, November 13th at the Coon Rapids Ice Center conference room at 6:30pm. Please join us as we begin to plan the Class of 2025 All Night Party! More helpers mean more fun for our seniors. You do not need to have a senior student to volunteer.
I am incredibly grateful to work with a team of people dedicated to helping for the sake of helping. It really does take a village to raise good citizens, and I would like to believe that volunteers serve a very special need in that village. Teaching our children to see a need and fill a need will help them in every aspect of their lives. Modeling a volunteer heart by being involved in our schools is a beautiful way to ensure that we are preparing our students to make a difference in the world. Thank you to everyone involved in the Anoka Hennepin volunteer program!
Volunteers are such an incredible asset to the students here at CRHS. Let’s make sure your impact is recorded and recognized. By filling out your volunteer application you are doing your part to keep our students safe while enriching their lives through extracurricular activities. You can access this year’s volunteer application here:
