Health Office Request
The Snail Lake health office is seeking donations of gently used clothing. In particular we are in need of size 4-8 elastic waistband pants. The health office uses these items in the event that a student's clothing becomes soiled while at school. It is also helpful if each student has an extra set of clothing (t-shirt, pants, underwear, and socks) in their backpack for when these accidents occur.
Visitors at Lunch
Visitors are welcome to join their student during lunch at Snail Lake. When you visit during your student's lunch time, please:
- Check-in. Please provide a valid ID and sign in at the office.
- Stay in the cafeteria. Do not join the class at recess or visit any other place in the school.
- Food may only be shared with your child. You cannot share food with other students.
- Photos can only be taken with your student. Other children cannot be in a photo, even if you know them from the community.
- Check-out. Sign out in the office as you leave the building.
- Have a fun visit!
National School Lunch Week
We are celebrating National School Lunch Week from October 7-16! A few highlights from the week include: The Minnesota Great Apple Crunch will be held on October 7. A local Gala apple from Rabideaux Farms will be offered with each school lunch. Set sail for a week of delicious adventures! This year's theme is School Lunch Pirates: Find Your Treasure. Coloring pages will be available for students to show off their art skills. Completed coloring pages will be displayed in the cafeteria.

News from the Library
Help your student find a safe place to store their library book at home. A safe place is away from food, pets and siblings. While at home, books should stay indoors so they are safe from the weather.

Kowalski's Groceries for Good Causes
Snail Lake Kindergarten Center is a participant in the Groceries for Good Causes program at the Kowalskis in Shoreview. The Groceries for Good Causes program allows shoppers to choose which neighborhood organizations matter most to them. Simply drop your grocery receipt in one of the bins to "vote" for the organization you'd like to support, and Kowalski's will donate a percentage of their quarterly charitable giving budget based on the number of receipts in each box.
