Dear Western Primary Parents/Guardians,

As February brings chilly days and frosty mornings, it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a good book. Cold weather offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, snuggle in, and spend quality time reading with your child. Whether it’s a favorite bedtime story, a new chapter book adventure, or simply flipping through picture books together, these moments foster not only a love for reading but also meaningful connections.

This month, we encourage you to make reading a special part of your family routine. A few minutes each day can make a big difference in your child’s growth as a reader and learner. Thank you for all you do to support your child’s education at home and at school.

Coming up in March, we will have our Kindergarten Roundup to enroll new Kindergarten students for the 25-26 school year. If you have friends or family members with children who will be 5 years old on or before August 1st of this year, please share the information with them. They must sign up for an appointment. Kindergarten Roundup will take place on March 5th from 9:00-4:30 pm. Thank you for your help in finding our newest Panthers.

Student drop off reminders- please stay in the designated car line to drop off your student in the morning. Students should be prepared to exit the vehicle when it stops, adults should remain in the car. Students dropped off at the north end of the lot should enter Door A, students who are dropped off at the south end of the lot should enter Door R. Drop off begins at approximately 8:25AM.

End of day reminders- please make sure all changes to student pick up are complete before 2:00PM. If you are picking up your student early, you must do so before 3:15PM. When using the car line for pickup, please announce your student using the PikMyKid app or have your student's ID car tags ready to show the staff member who checks you in.
