It is Registration and Open Enrollment Time!!
The registration window for the 25-26 school year is now open! This is a very important time for 3 groups of students. Please forward this information to friends and neighbors that it might apply to!
The first group is families who are interested in registering for Kindergarten. If your student will be 5 years old by the October 1, 2025, you will want to complete the online registration form on the district website - https://www.svvsd.org/schools/enrollment/new-student-registration/. While there is no rush for this one, we would love to have everyone registered before winter break for planning purposes. Please be sure you are completing the information for the 2025-2026 school year.
The second group is families who are looking to be new open enrollers. If you want to join Blue Mountain but do not live in our attendance area, you'll begin by completing an open enrollment application - https://www.svvsd.org/schools/enrollment/open-enrollment/. Once that is approved, you will then complete the registration form. This one is a little more time sensitive, so you will want to complete that application as soon as you can after the window opens on December 2nd.
The third group is current 5th grade families who are hoping to attend a middle school other than the one in their set attendance area. For example, if you are open enrolled to us, don't live in the Altona attendance area, and want to attend Altona, you will need to complete an open enrollment application for Altona - https://www.svvsd.org/schools/enrollment/open-enrollment/. Again, this is time sensitive so you will want to complete the application as soon as you can after the window opens on December 2nd.
If your student is a current student at Blue Mountain and is continuing with us, there is nothing you need to do. Likewise, if your 5th grader is planning on attending the middle school in your attendance area, there is nothing you need to do. If, however, you fit into one of the 3 groups above, you will want to get that process started once the window opens on the 2nd.
Preschool registration will begin on December 17th. We will share more information about that process after break.
Please call the office and ask for Lori Myers if you have any questions!
