- Superintendent Dr. Toni Hicks presented monthly student outcomes, which included:
- Overview of the Gifted and Talented Program presented by Pennie DeAugustineo
- Overview of the Advanced Placed Program presented by Alison Martone
- Assistant Superintendent Laura Buckley presented this month's Student Voice, which was about the student council at Jarrell Elementary School and the work they are doing on their campus

Action Items:
In addition to approving the consent agenda, the Board of Trustees:
- Approved the 2025 -26 TEKS Recertification
- Approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the 2023 Bond Projects: Paw Prints, Administration Annex, and Parking Lot
- Approved the Utility Easement with Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. for Berry Creek Elementary School
- Approved the Wording on Version #2 for the Jarrell High School Championship Sign

Returning Student Verification
The window to fill out the 2025-2026 Return Student Verification Form is open.
All parents must complete this form, whether their child is returning to Jarrell ISD or not.
The form helps us plan for the new school year and ensures returning students are assigned a teacher and we have the appropriate staffing levels.

New Student Registration
- Valid Photo ID of the person enrolling the student
- Original Birth Certificate for the student
- Original Social Security card for the student
- Current Proof of Residency (current lease agreement, utility bill, water bill, etc.)
- Complete Immunization Record for the student
- Legal Documentation (custody agreement, personal protective order, etc.)
PreK/Kindergarten Preview
The 2025 Pre-K/Kindergarten Preview Night is on April 24th at 6:00 pm at all elementary campuses. To learn more about our PreK/Kindergarten program, visit our website.
State Testing
STAAR and End of Course (EOC) tests are underway at all campuses. On testing days, our campuses are closed to visitors. Below is the testing calendar for you to plan for April and May.

Class of 2025 Graduation Information
Graduation is on Friday, May 23rd at 8:30 pm at in Cougar Stadium at Jarrell High School. Gates will open at 7:30 pm.
NOTE: Only clear bags are allowed into the stadium.

Free Summer Meals Program
The Texas Department of Agriculture is offering a Free Summer Meals Program. Jarrell ISD is participating and will provide summer meals from May 27th to July 26th. The meal program is open to anyone in the community who is 18 and under, and it's 21 and under for enrolled students with disabilities.

Legislative Priorities
At Jarrell ISD, we strive to create an innovative education environment that meets the needs of all students. State funding is critical to achieving that goal. Our legislative priorities for the Texas 89th Legislative Session call on our state leaders to invest in public education to enhance educational equity and increase teacher compensation and support. More of our priorities are outlined below and can be downloaded.
