Entrepreneurship Class - Business Plan Presentations
Members of the Entrepreneurship Class presented their final Business Plans to Greg LeCaptain of the Ag Lending Team at Farmers and Union Bank here in Columbus.
The Entrepreneurship class has been learning what it takes to start a new business from scratch. Their final project was to develop a detailed business plan for a school store or a "FabLab" that could be started at CHS. Mr. LeCaptain commented that the plans presented were more detailed than ones he often receives!

Chromebook Summer Use and Return Options
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the school year draws to a close, we are writing to inform you about the options for your child's Chromebook over the summer break for Freshman, Sophomores or Juniors returning for the 24-25 school year with Columbus School District. (Senior Turn In is Thurs May 30th)
Summer Chromebook Use Option:
Students may keep their Chromebooks at home for continued learning and exploration. These devices offer access to educational resources, online courses, and creative tools that can be valuable throughout the summer.
Important Reminders:
Chromebooks are equipped with filtering tools to promote a safe online environment. However, we strongly encourage continued parental supervision of student Chromebook activity.
To ensure a smooth transition back to school, please power on the Chromebook periodically for updates.
Students are responsible for the care and safekeeping of their Chromebooks. Please note, a fee of $280 will be charged for a lost Chromebook and $40 for a lost charger.
Chromebook Return Option:
Students may choose NOT to keep the Chromebook at home over the summer, you may return it for check in to the school IT Dept on Wednesday June 5, 2024 between 12-3:30PM. Please ensure the device is returned with the charger assigned to you.
Summer Repairs:
In the event your child's Chromebook requires repairs during the summer break, please contact the IT Department at mziegler@columbus.k12.wi.us to schedule a drop-off appointment.
We encourage you to discuss Chromebook use with your child over the summer and establish clear expectations.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Attendance FAQ
Athletic Passes
Athletic passes can be purchased for $30 per person at the high school. These passes allow for entry into any home sporting event that admission is charged. Beaver Dam will also be accepting our home passes for our boys and girls hockey co-op. Attending just 6 events as an adult covers the cost of the athletic pass and you can enter the rest of the regular season games absolutely free.
Home admissions without the pass are $5 per adult and $3 per student/child.
Athletic and Activity Calendar
All afterschool athletics and activities are scheduled on a separate website. The link to the that website is listed below. You can also download an app in called rSchool Activity Scheduler for view specific teams and events.
