For those that are new to Winter Wonderland, students dress as elves and escort the children to Santa's Workshop (without parents), where they can shop for their loved ones (Parents do provide a budget for their kids to shop in Santa's Workshop). Our shopper elves shop year round to get the best presents for children to give their parents, siblings, grandparents and even pets. Presents range from $1-$15. The presents are then wrapped up/sealed, labeled and returned to their parents. While the kids are shopping with the elves, we will have tons of vendors to browse to help you complete your holiday shopping. UMS SGA Attends MASC Fall Leadership Conference
Thank You for Representing UMS
On Saturday November 23rd UMS had 10 students and 1 advisor travel to Harve de Grace Middle/High School to attend the Fall Leadership Conference hosted by the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC). We were the largest delegation from FCPS and had two presenters in Ethan Xu and Ronith Girish! All students in attendance learned about effective ways to lead as well as strategies on how to help UMS SGA grow and be even more successful.
Giving Tree
This holiday season we are hoping to partner with families to help our students in need through our annual UMS Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is located in the UMS front office and each tag on the tree has a gift for one of our UMS students and/or their siblings. If you are able, please stop by UMS to pick up a tag (or two!) and purchase a gift for a family in need this holiday season. If you would like to participate:
- Stop by UMS to pick a gift tag(s) off the tree
- Sign up for that gift on the clipboard
- Happy Shopping!
- Return the gift(s) wrapped with the tags attached to the UMS Front office no later than Monday December 16th.
