Wonder Watch
Fenton Area Public Schools - World of Wonder
March is Reading Month
World of Wonder will be celebrating March is Reading Month by having family members read in classrooms, hosting Family Fort Night, and sharing the below activity calendar with families. A copy of this calendar will be going home with your child that includes daily activities to complete. This calendar was developed by the Genesee Intermediate School District Literacy Coaches.
Each family that completes all the activities OR reads daily to their child will receive a Culver's Coin to be redeemed for a free ice cream! Please keep track of the activities you complete on your calendar and turn the completed calendar in to your classroom teachers on April 3rd.
If you are interested in reading to your child's classroom - please reach out to their classroom teachers.
World of Wonder Calendar Updates
1. We are CLOSED on Friday April 7th for Good Friday. This includes all WoW programs. This was mistakenly not marked on the calendar given out to families.

Program Data Nugget - March
Below is a chart highlighting where our students are scoring based on widely held expectations for three and four year olds when it comes to language, literacy, and communication development. Teachers and myself review this data frequently to lesson plan, individual instruction, and add materials to our classrooms.
A strength of our preschool students is book enjoyment and knowledge! Having a lending library on site allows for each child to check out a book weekly to read at home. We feel that along with classroom experiences, the opportunity to bring home books weekly is positively impacting our students.
Parents at WoW Meeting
Summer 2023
We have been working hard to finalize our preschool summer programming options. We plan to have everything ready to share with families prior to Spring Break. Families who have submitted the preschool survey (below) will be contacted first about placement. Our current families get first priority!
Any questions about summer options, please contact Marissa Cobleigh at mcobleigh@fentonschools.org
