2024-2025
February 3, 2025
Dear Charger Families,
We hope you had a restful weekend.
Just a heads up, there is A LOT of sickness going around. A few things to remind your student: wash their hands, stay home if they have a fever, and be sure to stay caught up on any make-up work. Any time your child misses school, they need to go to the teacher and ask what work they missed. Most teachers place work in Google Classroom. Your child can access this work from home with internet access. Students can also attend tutoring in the morning. Tutoring begins at 8am.
Lunch:
We have had issues with families brining several boxes of pizzas and other large quantities of food items for their child's friends during lunch. Please bring food for your child ONLY. We have many students with various allergies. Students can only eat at lunch the food they bring or what they purchase in the cafeteria. Thank you for your help with this.
Have a great week.

7th Grade Fieldtrip
Dear Parents,
We are excited to inform you that our 7th grade students will be participating in a special career exploration field trip on Thursday, February 13th. During the school day, students will be shuttled to Champion High School to engage in a hands-on experience exploring various career fields. They will have the opportunity to meet with community and industry partners, who will showcase different professions and share valuable insights into their respective fields.
This field trip is designed to help students gain a better understanding of career possibilities, connect classroom learning with real-world applications, and inspire future aspirations. We believe this is an exciting and valuable opportunity for our students as they begin to think about their future academic and career paths.
BMSS 7th graders are scheduled to leave for Champion around 11:00am. The students will leave CHS to head back to BMSS at 12:30pm. On this day, all 7th graders will have 3rd lunch.
Parents, please be on the lookout for the fieldtrip permission forms!

Tips to Staying Healthy this Winter
1. Get enough sleep. School aged children should be getting 8-9 hours of sleep a night. A good night's rest can lead to a healthier lifestyle.
2. Staying active. Staying active this winter can help with multiple health aspects of our lives including sleep, energy levels, and metal health.
3. Eating well. Try incorporating at least 2 fruits and 2 vegetables a day. This can be great way to help boost your immune system and health.
4. Watch outdoor temperatures. Playing outdoors is great, but remember to limit it when temperatures begin to drop for the season.
5. WASH, WASH, WASH YOUR HANDS! This is still the best defense against illness. Encourage your children to wash, especially before meals, using soap and warm water. To ensure they are taking enough time to adequately kill germs.
