We are happy to announce that we will have our Talent Show performances during our Field Day.

Talent Show Schedule:

• May 1: Ideas must be submitted, soundtrack or music links and a copy of lyrics must be turned in to Ms. Kohl.
  
• May 2: Practice all presentations until 3 PM in the Media Center.
• May 9: "Dress rehearsal," go through the entire program until 3:30 PM.
• May 17: Talent Show!

Each year St. Cecilia School sends out a packet of scholarship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in our school. These scholarships are offered through the generosity of parish organizations, businesses, or individuals. These donors recognize the importance of Catholic education and seek to reward students for their devotion to faith and hard work. This will benefit families as it is an opportunity to make Catholic education more affordable. Print the attached scholarship packet or you may have your student stop in the office to pick up a hard copy.

DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, MAY 3RD. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

The last PTO Meeting of the school year is May 14th at 6:30 PM in the Undercroft. We will be drawing for the PTO scholarship winner and voting for the new Vice President and Treasurer. It's not too late to enter for your chance to win a $250 tuition scholarship. Everyone in attendance gets one chance to win!

2nd Grade will be collecting the aluminum tabs from your soda and other cans during the month of April. We will be turning them into the Ronald McDonald House. By turning in these tabs we can help care for families while their children receive much-needed medical treatment. Students may send in donations starting now and ending Friday, May 3.

Place: St. Cecilia Gym and Cafeteria

Cost: $10 per child (checks made payable St. Cecilia School)

*PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE MAY 3RD TO RECEIVE A SHIRT.*

Mail or drop off registration fees (check or cash) to the school or church office.

Children must be St. Cecilia parishioners or students in grades K - 5. Complete a new form for each child being registered. Registrations received before May 3rd are guaranteed a VBS T-shirt.

St. Cecilia's Labor Day Grand Raffle Ticket Sales have begun! The Grand Prize for this year will be either a brand new 2024 Arctic White Corvette Stingray 1LT; MSRP $69,995; removable roof panel, 8-way power GT bucket seats, LED headlamps, remote vehicle start, bose premium 10 speaker audio system, HD rear vision camera, forward collision alert & theft deterrent system, OR a $50,000 cash option!

Tickets are $25.00 each. A maximum of 8,000 tickets will be sold and the drawing will be held on Monday, September 2nd.

To buy tickets, you can either call our office at 859-363-4311, go to our Festival website, or mail us back the Grand Raffle postcards with a check. Postcards have been sent out.

*IMPORTANT: If you decide to purchase a ticket on our STCfest website, we are currently experiencing website issues. At this time, you can only purchase one ticket at a time rather than multiple tickets in one purchase. If you would like to purchase more than one ticket, you will need to do multiple transactions for the number of tickets you want or you can call our office. Apologies for this inconvenience.*

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Buddy Card sales! We sold 399 Buddy Cards! The cards will be sent home in the May 15 Family Folder.

The St. Cecilia Sports Committee will host the 2024 sports banquet this year on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 PM in the church undercroft.

Fall Volleyball is upon us! Open registration for Girls Fall Volleyball will be from April 19th through July 1st. This is open to those girls who will be in grades 3rd-8th in Fall 2024.

To help memorialize the late pastor of St. Cecilia Parish, Fr. Mario J. Tizziani, the Sports Committee Golf Outing will continue the mission of Fr. Mario to provide a first-class sports facility for the members of the St. Cecilia Parish and School.

MISSING ITEMS WILL BE CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE AND WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

In order for an application to be accepted, all 3 steps must be completed below.

3. Registration Fee - $100/student

The Holy Cross High School Boys Basketball Team is hosting a youth summer camp June 10-13 from 9:00-11:30 AM for boys entering grades 6-9 and from 12:30-3:00 PM for boys entering grades 2-5 during the 2024-25 school year. Holy Cross High School Cheer Squad is hosting a youth summer camp July 15-18 from 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon for girls ages 6-13. PLEASE NOTE: The current dress code does permit apparel from the sports committee spiritwear shop. The dress code was approved prior to the new line of apparel being offered. At this time, we will honor the current dress code for the 2023-2024 school year. We will move to wearing the official school crest only for the following year. Additional spirtwear days will be added to the calendar for students to showcase all things St. Cecilia.

(Items permitted: Crewneck Sweatshirts, 3/4 Zip, Fleece, and Sweaters - NO HOODIES!)

HOW TO ORDER:

2. Browse the amazing selection of spirit wear, from cozy hoodies to trendy tees.
3. Select your preferred items and sizes, then proceed to checkout.
4. Be sure to include your student's name, grade, and homeroom teacher's name in the order form to ensure it gets delivered with no issues. Failure to do so will result in delay in delivery.
5. Complete your order and mark your calendar for the delivery date. Items will be delivered to the students' homeroom at the end of each month.

NOTE: The store will close each month on the 15th and everything ordered will be delivered by the 30th. If you order after the 15th it will be delivered the following month. Let's make this school year truly unforgettable by proudly representing our beloved Saint Cecilia Catholic School.
