- This coming Friday is the next Middle School Pizza Lunch!
- Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 13 from 3:30 - 8:00 PM & Friday, March 14 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. This means there are no regular classes on Friday, March 14th. Appointment booking opens today at noon; an email was sent to parents with information and instructions this past Thursday. Credo's Middle School Drama Club Presents "The Grunch!"
- After months of hard work, the Middle School Drama Club is excited to bring you their musical, The Grunch! Directed by Natalie Hoogstra, this production follows a drama group as they discover what it truly means to say, "The show must go on!"

- Writing: In writing, students are answering some questions in preparation for Parent/Teacher interviews next week. As well, students are finishing their final copy of their hamburger paragraph.

Grade 4B - Ms. Vantil
- Welcome back to another great week at Credo! We have a lot of exciting things in store for this week. This morning our new classroom pet, a beta fish, arrived and later this week (Friday) we go on a class field trip to the Vancouver Aquarium! There is a lot to look forward to as well as lots to do as Spring Break is coming fast.
- Memory Work: Psalm 7:1 due this week Friday, March 7
- Bible: This week in Bible brings with it the end of our stories about the Kingdom of Israel. We will therefore also be working this week on our Kingdom of Israel timelines as well as a new Bible Character Card for this newest unit.
- Math: With our Financial Literary (ie. Money) unit in full swing, this week we will be learning all about Estimating Money, Adding and Subtracting Money, Comparing Decimals, and how to differentiate between Spending, Saving, and Donating.
- Social Studies: Now that we have learned about the different Fur Trading Companies, this week we will be taking a closer look at the wars between them. We will also be practicing our perspective-taking skills as we look at and discuss the Fur Trade from the perspective of all the major groups involved.
- Science: This week in Science we will be reviewing all we have learned about the 5 human senses and how they work, by working our way through a mystery investigation!
- ELA: In Reading we carry on this week reading our newest novel study: Snow Treasure. We also continue to write our articles in Writing, this week all about event writing! Reading Ninja Logs were due this week! We will be filling in one more log before the break that will be due next week Thursday given Parent/Teacher conferences next week. Thank you again and as always with your support filling these reading logs in!
- Music (NS): Learning about Scottish music (Yes! St. Patrick was Scottish) and learning 'Spring Sings' by Ellie Holcomb
- Gym: We have been practicing our Gymnastics routines, this week it is time to perform them.
Grade 5 - Mrs. VanSpronsen & Mrs. Vanrhee
- Bible: Jesus tells parables: The Parable of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin, The Prodigal Son, The Parable of the Unrighteous Steward
- Memory Work: Hymn 51:1
- Reading: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. This novel study will focus on reading comprehension, critical thinking, and vocabulary. We have already listened to chapters 1-8. This week we hope to complete chapter 11. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday on ch 5-8. It will be multiple choice.
- Math – Number Sense (LSVS): Fractions – equivalent fractions, mixed numbers and improper fractions
- Science: The Digestive System. The intestines and their role in digestion!
- Art: Emily Carr ~ our 2nd painting in her same style. Art is on Wednesday and we will be painting.
- Church History: Slide project assignment focusing on saints of the early Christian Church
- Writing: Paragraph development and organization
- Careers: Preparations are happening for the March conference. Students are engaging in personal progress activities
- Math (NV): Test return and a start on a new unit working through Data Management starting Friday

French 5 (SP): We are continuing to work on our French calendars this week!

Grade 6A - Ms. Krikke
- This week, we are excited to showcase our Genius Hour projects! A reminder that the Open House is Friday, March 7th from 1:30-2:40 in the gym. You are invited to come check out the hard work!
- Memory Work: Psalm 91:1 due on Friday, March 7th and Hymn 64:1 for Thursday, March 13th.
- Bible: We begin our unit in Leviticus this week.
- ELA: We are working on a final project for The Cay this week.
- Math (DJ): We will continue learning how to solve for our variables, beginning to look at 2 step equations by the end of the week.
- Socials: We continue our discussions on poverty, looking specifically at Gapminder Tools and Dollar Street this week.
- Science (KN): We are reviewing Newton’s 3 laws of motion this week and will be doing some stations that involve identifying which law of motion is being applied. I would like to bring in a few games to demonstrate and work with these laws. If you have a jenga game, plastic bowling pins, mini basketball hoop and ball or marbles that we could borrow in the classroom for a few days, could you send it along with your child?
- French: We review for our test this week. The test is scheduled for Monday, March 10. There are review materials on Google Classroom.
- ADST: Genius Hour is Friday! Keep working hard on your projects - make sure you have something to present/ display on your table for our Open House. Parents and grandparents are invited to come view grade 6A and 6B’s projects from 1:30-2:40 on Friday, March 7th in their respective classrooms.
- Art: We continue work on our Bird Mosaics this week.
- Music (NS): Fun with rhythms, learning how to read notes & body percussion fun.
- PE (SP): This week we will play some badminton!

- English: The class has been independently reading and then meeting in literary circle groups to share and discuss their novels. We have our fourth meeting on Monday and then our fifth and final one on Wednesday.
- Math: We continue to work with circle graphs and critical thinking problems this week.
- Science (NS): We are reviewing for our Chemistry Test on Friday, March 7! Students are learning how to use the memory palace.
- Socials: We have finished learning about and presenting on the leaders of ancient civilizations. This week the focus will shift to the social hierarchies of ancient civilizations.
- Art: Students will research an artist and choose a piece of their artwork to recreate in a similar or completely different medium.
- Music (NS): Polishing ‘Primitivo’ - instrument sections will be quizzed! Any part of ‘Primitivo’ is fair game!

- Socials (KN): This week we begin our new unit on the Late Middle ages. We will begin by observing the structure of medieval towns, and exploring some causes that led to the rise of towns,

- Music (NS): Skedaddle m.1-27 was DUE Friday. The assignment has been extended until tomorrow evening. Please complete it! Music is a team sport and the majority of students have done their part.
