" You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."🍎
We are continuing our NWEA MAPS and mCLASS assessments this week. Please continue to have your kiddo rested, on time, and ready to show what they know during this last week of testing! We use their data to craft a personalized learning path for students, and it gives us feedback to know where a student is in their learning process. Thank you for supporting their growth this year!
Thank you to Ms. Selina with Project GRAD in coordinating Sources of Strength lessons that our middle and high school students are participating in. Sources of Strength is an awesome character development program on youth mental health promotion and create healthy norms and culture. It's been powerful in increasing well- being, resiliency, and healthy coping skills. We will continue this program to develop students into their best selves.
In our ongoing commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of our students and staff, we want to inform you about our KPBSD Symptom-Free Protocol. This protocol is designed to create a safer environment for everyone by minimizing the risk of the spread of illnesses. We kindly request that you ensure your child is symptom-free before sending them to school each day. This includes checking for common symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and difficulty breathing. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for an infectious illness, we strongly encourage you to keep them at home, and consult with the clinic. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter, as the collective efforts of our school community are crucial in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all.
Remindar to parents and guardians to please update your child(ren)'s information and permissions or new/ returning students for the 2024-2025 school year! Please follow this link to update:-)

This service provides users the opportunity to leave a message or speak with a live crisis counselor for immediate needs. The helpline is administered by an independent, outside company. All communications remain private, confidential, and anonymous.
