We are asking families to donate the following items:
Canned Food

COVID-19 Information from the Kenton County School District.
KCSD Recommendations Pertaining to Elementary Schools
- Beginning Monday, November 22, all KCSD individuals (staff and students) will have the option to wear masks. This Nov. 22 date was established to enable 5-11 year olds to access the vaccine. (Preschool will follow Kindergarten with all guidelines).
- Masks are STILL required on all buses per the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Department of Health and Human Services Order.
These recommendations and others were made to the board for consideration based on the totality of the local data and were not based on a dashboard/matrix. These recommendations will be reviewed if future data indicates a need to make additional recommendations to the board for consideration.
Once again, masks are still recommended and welcome in all KCSD facilities. Everyone will have the individual option to wear mask and be vaccinated.
Attendance Matters
We want to celebrate attendance here at Piner! We have a daily school attendance goal of 96.25%. Each month the grade level with the highest attendance the month prior will win one extra recess. The grade level attendance winner for the month of September was 2nd Grade. They had an attendance percentage of 97.1%. The grade level winner for the month of October is 4th grade, who had an attendance percentage of 97.7%. Starting this month, students who have attendance percentages of 96.25% or higher will be entered into a drawing and one student in each homeroom will be awarded a special prize.
