πΎ GOOD LUCK WILDCATS! πΎ
As you embark on this exciting new chapter in high school, we want to extend our heartfelt wishes for your success and happiness. You've been such an integral part of our school community, and your presence will be deeply missed.
Remember, high school is a time for growth, exploration, and discovering your passions. Embrace the challenges, cherish the friendships, and always strive to be your best selves. We have no doubt that you will achieve great things and make us proud.
Good luck, Wildcats! Keep shining brightly, and know that we are cheering you on every step of the way.
PRECIOUS MOMENTS
THANK YOU TO OUR VUSD DIGNITARIES
A special thanks to our Board of Trustees, Cipriano Vargas and Rosemary Smithfield; the director of Special Education, Nereida Gutierrez, and the Coordinator of Student Services, Joan Faus, for attending our school's 8th grade promotion ceremony. We are grateful for your presence and for handing out certificates to our students. Your support and recognition are significant to them and our entire school community.
THANK YOU PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
As we wrap up this fantastic year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Your trust and collaboration have been instrumental in providing your children with a nurturing and enriching educational experience.
Your active involvement, whether participating in school events, helping with homework, or simply being there for your kids, has made a difference. It's been a pleasure to watch your children grow, learn, and achieve new heights, and none of this would have been possible without your support.
Thank you for being our education partners and making this year so memorable.
VUSD looks forward to continuing this incredible journey with you and your children in the coming years of high school.
PAWSITIVE PARTY
As the leading PBIS (Positive Behavior Incentive & Supports) middle school in VUSD, provided incentives to encourage students to follow the Wildcat Way. The PAWSitive Party took place on Tuesday, June 4th, and the Wildcats had a blast!
HAPPY RETIREMENT MR. AULT
Happy Retirement, Mr. Ault!

LITERACY LAB
Throughout the school year, Literacy Lab students were encouraged to read at home for at least 30 minutes every night and pass AR quizzes on a regular basis. On Monday, June 3rd, students celebrated all of their independent AR reading accomplishments this school year. Collectively, students read a whopping 74,047,853 words! The top 3 students from each Lit Lab class received a certificate and RMS ribbon. In addition, there are eleven students who will be recognized on the βAR Wall of Fameβ for reading one million or more words. Shown in the photo frame is Teaghan, who read an astounding 5,596,586 words this school year!
Literacy Lab teachers Mrs. Ramirez and Ms. Donisi ask that you encourage your child to participate in your local libraryβs summer reading program! Here are some links: Oceanside Public Library: Summer Reading for All Ages and San Diego Public Library: Summer At Your Library.

π Tentative School Transportation 2024-2025 π
Vista Unified School District is committed to equity and access in education. Our Districtβs long-standing tradition of providing general education transportation to qualifying schools is part of this commitment. A historic shortage of school bus drivers at the local, regional, state, and national levels created a staffing shortfall, requiring us to pause several general education routes. The Transportation Department is projecting that we can reinstate some paused
school bus routes in the 2024/2025 school year.
Click the link below to see the thentative tentative bus schedule for the 2024/2025 school year.
If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.
Thank you!

MESSAGE FROM THE RMS HEALTH OFFICE
Your child is required to have the Tdap booster vaccine for 7th-grade entry. Many children have already received the Tdap booster as part of their routine well-child visits through their pediatrician. Please take a look at your child's immunization record to see if this has been done already. If it has, please send me their updated immunization records and I can get you crossed off my list. If not, it will need to be completed by 7th grade registration in August.
Please send a copy of your child's immunization record to lindseysaunders@vistausd.org
