The Flagler County Youth Center is open for 6th-12th grade students. Operational hours are 2:00pm-6:30pm. The Youth Center is a fabulous facility for county youth to stop in and socialize for FREE. The only requirement for participation is that every student must scan their Flagler County School ID card to enter. The Youth Center is the result of a unique collaboration between Flagler County & the Flagler County School Board.

On September 11th, we proudly recognized our dedicated students who achieved good grades and perfect attendance! Our reward event featured a pizza party, showcasing delicious Domino's Pizza, complemented by a variety of chips and refreshing drinks. It was a fantastic way to celebrate their hard work and commitment to academic excellence, fostering a positive and encouraging environment for all.

On Friday, September 20th, the Youth Center proudly hosted a lively pre-game social in honor of homecoming. We welcomed attendees to indulge in complimentary pizza, chips, and a variety of refreshing beverages. The event was further enhanced by an array of activities, including open court basketball, upbeat music, and spirited games of corn hole, all of which contributed to a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

The Youth Center is planning to host PBIS Celebrations for classes. We are looking to start this program in November for classes at Buddy Taylor Middle, Indian Trails Middle, and Matanzas High School. Any class can be nominated or self-nominated to be entered for a chance to be selected. The winning class for the month will be transported to the Youth Center from their school around their lunch period. The Youth Center will provide free pizza and drinks for those in attendance. The students will be able to spend an hour to an hour and a half at the Youth Center, taking advantage of everything the center has to offer. We’re thrilled to announce that the Youth Center will soon host tutoring services offered by Mu Alpha Theta! This program is designed to provide academic support for students seeking extra help in various subjects. The schedule is forthcoming and will be shared on our social media as soon as plans are finalized. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your learning experience—stay tuned for more details!

Currently the G.W. Carver Center is open daily Monday-Friday with special events on Saturday. Open School Year Open Gym Hours will be 2:00pm-6:00pm.

This program is geared towards seniors in the community, providing them with opportunities for social interaction through games, activities, and other learning experiences. It takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays each month.

On Wednesdays, the G.W. Carver Center provides a community assistant program. Every other Wednesday, Flagler Cares offers services including Screening & Referral, Care Coordination, Benefit Assistance & Navigation, SOAR, Housing Assistance, ID Assist, Behavioral Health Programs, and Health Marketplace Navigation. Through our Community Assistant Program, we strive to be a valuable resource for the community. Community Assistance will be available every Wednesday, with Flagler Cares visiting every other Wednesday.
